By adjusting to a common currency and a common set of prices, they can be used to make international comparisons of the relative volumes of goods and services invested in or consumed. This report presents PPPs, associated real expenditure and other related statistics for the United States (U.S.) relative to Canada from 2002 to 2009. It serves to update the report published in 2007 and subsequent data releases. The report includes a description of PPPs and why they are important, followed by discussions of the sources and methods and the quality of the data, and a summary of the key changes introduced by this report. Finally, the main findings of the study are presented, including comparisons with previously published data and those from the OECD.--Document.
