Download or read book Lifelong Education written by Paul Bélanger and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1995-05-31 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The basic aim of this special issue is to focus on the profound change of tendency in education that is taking place at both the national and interna tional level. At a time when education and lifelong learning are increasingly merging into one process, it is important to examine the ways in which edu cational policies and practices are evolving. Consequently, we invited a variety of contributors, both men and women, coming from different regions and encompassing both research and practice, to identify significant phenomena and trends that are indicative of the ways in which systems of education are responding to new social and cultural demands. We asked our contributors to show how educational reality in different countries is no longer confined within the temporal and spatial limits of institutional education, to indicate how models of educational practice are changing, to examine the extent to which the traditional cycles of human life are shifting their boundaries, and to describe how these changes are mani festing themselves in different national contexts in both South and North. We also asked our authors to pose questions raised by this educational revolution. We have included 17 contributions, some of the authors analysing par ticular national situations, others drawing questions and observations from their own experiences or taking a searching look at education from the perspective of a practical involvement in social iSl>ues or from a background of research into popular arts and traditions.

Book Synopsis Oralité africaine et création by : Anne-Marie Dauphin-Tinturier
Download or read book Oralité africaine et création written by Anne-Marie Dauphin-Tinturier and published by KARTHALA Editions. This book was released on 2005 with total page 354 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: Excerpt from What and How: A Guide to Successful Oral Teaching To explain and illustrate these principles has been the object of the writer, and he believes he has produced a book which will be found well worth the careful study of Pupil-teachers and Students, whatever kind of school they may ultimately hope to occupy. Considerable attention has been paid to the subject of Interroga tion, and an attempt has been made to show what is meant by a chain of questions. It may interest and encourage the student to know that the three examples given were really worked out with a class by the author. All the examples of bad questions and faulty sketches are genuine, having been taken from exercises written by students in training. This book was released on 2020-11-16 with total page 283 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this volume, language learning and professionalization are explored by addressing the existing gap between pressing needs for enhanced soft skills in work environments wherein technology-mediated, multilingual communication is increasingly the norm, and current foreign language teaching and learning offerings in higher education. Considering theoretical, methodological, and pedagogical perspectives for preparing language learners and teachers in/for the 21st century, this volume’s eight chapters underscore that research findings should inform the design of learning experiences so that people’s communication needs in fast-changing work environments are met and the link between language education and professionalization, within a lifelong learning perspective, is sustained.

However, until recently, the acquisition of oral language skills has been largely overshadowed by reading, writing, spelling and numeracy, and has not been considered a key component of school curricula. In Teaching Oral LanguageDr John Munro redresses this imbalance through the delivery of his step-by-step model, ICPALER. The Ideas-Conventions-Purposes-Ability to learn-Expression and Reception framework describes the various aspects of oral language from a classroom perspective, and demonstrates how teachers can best guide students to become effective communicators and language users.
