Book excerpt: Les couplages interdomaines et les interactions multiples entre les éléments imposent aujourd'hui une vision globale appelée aussi " approche système " de la conception. En effet, lorsqu'il s'agit de processus de conversion statique, électromécanique, ou de dispositifs de commande, de nombreux problèmes sont désormais assez bien maîtrisés quand chaque élément est conçu et dimensionné séparément. Cependant, dès qu'il s'agit de concevoir un système hétérogène, vu comme un " complexe d'éléments en interaction ", se pose le problème de l'optimisation globale vis à vis des multiples critères qui caractérisent la qualité de son comportement. Les travaux réalisés dans cette thèse concernent l'optimisation multicritères de systèmes électriques par des méthodes directes sans calcul analytique du gradient. Ces techniques s'appliquent à un cahier des charges représentant un véhicule électrique. Nous proposons une modélisation adaptée pour chacun des sous-systèmes. En particulier, une méthode originale basée sur des variations par similitude a été élaborée pour le dimensionnement de la machine. Les paramètres d'optimisation (tension d'entrée, géométrie machine, ...) sont ajustés à tous les niveaux du système pour optimiser plusieurs critères de performances (minimisation des pertes, de la masse embarquée, ). Les algorithmes d'optimisation utilisés pour résoudre ce problème non-linéaire sont les méthodes du simplexe de Nelder et Mead et l'algorithme de Hooke and Jeeves. Les contraintes du problème sont traitées par pénalités (exactes et quadratiques) et une heuristique simple est proposée, permettant de les normaliser et d'améliorer la convergence. Les résultats de l'optimisation ont permis de mettre en évidence des couplages entre les différents sous-systèmes, point essentiel de l'analyse. Ils ont également montré l'intérêt de ce type d'outil dans le cadre d'une approche globale de la conception en Génie Electrique.
