God provides us with His love and with the tools to succeed. As author David Edsall notes, we cannot use these tools if we are not open to them. We cannot let God in, if we do not open the door to Him. Open Your Door, Please! explores the ways in which God has guided David and presented him with opportunities and tools throughout his life. Download or read book Stuck written by Dr. James Banks Jr. and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2022-06-06 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During this time of a pandemic season and beyond, I hope to articulate a message in my book that you do not have to be stuck when you find out the root cause of your problem(s). Many situations arise because there are so many variations of sin used by the enemy to deceive people into thinking they have what they do not have. Today, not tomorrow, quit trying to please whoever it is that does not appreciate you on your job, church, school, college, team, family, relationship, or marriage. God has a door appointed for you to go through. Living in denial will delay/prohibit your mobility. Do not suppress your innermost feelings when you know you were once free, but now it feels like a trap within everyday life because of what somebody does or does not do. Life is meant to bring about trials and tribulations; however, if you can unravel the hidden truths, you are destined to be set free. Take charge and put action to your repetitive thoughts of what you constantly think about doing continually. At some point in life, you have to ask God for the revelation to say enough is enough. Otherwise, through time, you will accumulate multiple regrets which will cause you to be incarcerated from your choices. Today, please break free and move into your destiny. Do not bury yourself while you still live. Please act upon a solution, get away from denial, and make that long-awaited change that gets you away from being stuck. Hence, that level of immobility will penetrate your mind until you take action. After you conclude to take action, you will not have to look back anymore: ". . .Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. The Lord will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:13a-14 KJV). Remember, sometimes, if not all the time, you must take feasible action for change. Failure to do so could result in being STUCK: Living In Denial Will Prohibit Your Mobility.

They had been making Teddy Bears for many years. They had almost completed their last Teddy, and decided to give it to their grand daughter Hannah. Edna felt this last Teddy was very special, and she decided to call him Thomas. This was the beginning of a very exciting life for Thomas, from his first night sleeping in Hannah and James' bedroom, to being left behind in a Tea Shop, and spending the night in a smelly cupboard, by mistake of course. The stories in this little book are all true events that happened to our children, and know that most parents with children of their own, will have lots of stories, happy, sad, funny, that they can also remember when their children were young and growing up. I hope the little tales will bring a smile to your face and help you to remember some of your own personal family stories.

This book was released on 2009-05-28 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Army lieutenant colonel Sam Briscoe volunteers for a job in exotic, wartime Cambodia to escape the routines of Pentagon duty and an acrid divorce. His new job gains an unexpected dimension when the Army Chief of Staff assigns Briscoe a secret task while in Cambodia which only the Chief of Staff and an Assistant Secretary of State know about. Once in Phnom Penh, Briscoes immediate boss, Brigadier General Cleveland, orders him to eliminate phantom soldiers from Cambodian army payrolls. Cleveland also admonishes Briscoe against advising the Cambodians and talking to reporters, particularly American ones. Briscoe quickly discovers that the pay for the non-existent or phantom soldiers goes into the pockets of their commanders. This introduces him to the fraud and graft rampant in the Cambodian armed forces as well as the government. Briscoes no win job is further complicated by an instantaneous--but forbidden romance--withAmerican freelance reporter Beth Keller. Once the American ambassador, to whom General Cleveland reports, hears about the romance, he tries to blackmail Briscoe into coercing Beth to soften her scathing investigative reporting about diplomatic bumbling at the American Embassy. While inspecting Cambodian infantry battalions, Briscoe unwittingly crosses the grey line between advising and assisting about which Cleveland warned. Beth Kellers widely publicized article in U.S. media highlights Briscoes disobeying the U.S. Congressional edict, as well as his own generals admonition against advising. How Beth and Briscoe solve their personal problems, while balancing their jobs and precarious positions with the ambassador and general, add to the drama of the helicopter evacuation of Americans from Communist-besieged Phnom Penh. The struggle between the army officer, his general, the ambassador plus an embassy political officer stalking Beth ends with the evacuation. One of the four will be the last American escaping Phnom Penh. Another wont make it.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “But when I turned the handle on the door, suddenly the buzzing went crazy. I slapped my hands over my ears, when I should have jerked the door shut. It flew open, and I was face-to-face with the Weierstrass function. It was the ugliest function I could imagine, with kinks, and kinks on kinks and kinks on those. And it was shrieking in its buzz-like way, vibrating all over like a plucked string. I stood there, frozen for just a second, and then I was sprinting after the others, with the wild frantic buzzing right behind me.” From the twisted imagination of best-selling author Colin Adams (Zombies & Calculus, The Knot Book) comes this tale of sixteen-year-old Kallie trying to escape death at the hands of the exhibits in a mathematics museum. Kallie crosses paths with Carl Gauss, Bertrand Russell, Sophie Germain, G. H. Hardy, and John von Neumann, as she tries to save herself, her dad, and his colleague Maria from the deadly Hairy Ball theorem, the harrowing Hilbert Hotel, the bisecting Ham Sandwich machine, and a variety of other mathematical menaces. It's a wild romp through a mathematical bestiary featuring the bizarre, the exotic, and the counterintuitive. You'll never think of math the same way again.
