Book excerpt: Axions are peculiar hypothetical particles that could both solve the CP problem of quantum chromodynamics and at the same time account for the dark matter of the universe. Based on a series of lectures by world experts in this field held at CERN (Geneva), this volume provides a pedagogical introduction to the theory, cosmology and astrophysics of these fascinating particles and gives an up-to-date account of the status and prospect of ongoing and planned experimental searches.

Book excerpt: The proceedings of MG16 give a broad view of all aspects of gravitational physics and astrophysics, from mathematical issues to recent observations and experiments. The scientific program of the meeting included 46 plenary presentations, 3 public lectures, 5 round tables and 81 parallel sessions arranged during the intense six-day online meeting. All talks were recorded and are available on the ICRANet YouTube channel at the following link: www.icranet.org/video_mg16.These proceedings are a representative sample of the very many contributions made at the meeting. They contain 383 papers, among which 14 come from the plenary sessions. The material represented in these proceedings cover the following topics: accretion, active galactic nuclei, alternative theories of gravity, black holes (theory, observations and experiments), binaries, boson stars, cosmic microwave background, cosmic strings, dark energy and large scale structure, dark matter, education, exact solutions, early universe, fundamental interactions and stellar evolution, fast transients, gravitational waves, high energy physics, history of relativity, neutron stars, precision tests, quantum gravity, strong fields, and white dwarf; all of them represented by a large number of contributions. The online e-proceedings are published in an open access format.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The foundation of evolutionary theory consists solidly of numerous unwarranted and illegitimate assumptions, many of which are antagonistic to the facts of nature. These assumptions are taught to the public as codified facts of science, when they exist only as "what if's." The author addresses these issues as well as the philosophical roots of this scientific movement that push the theory along, keeping it "alive" by less than scientific means. He exposes the farce that a false philosophy - not science - keeps alive. Most of the arguments for Intelligent Design are covered as well as many more ID doesn't cover. The author also covers various "games" that evolutionary theorists like to play in their efforts to make evolutionary theory seem scientific. He covers "equivocation" (switching the meanings of words around to fit one's means to an end), especially the four different meanings of the word "evolution" utilized by evolutionists to confuse the issue. Before long, anyone caught up into a debate with an evolutionist must concede because of these perfidious tactics. According to one scientist, this is an "excellent book...It promises to be a very important book in this area (referring to the creation vs. evolution controversy)." This book was released on 2019-03-07 with total page 57 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Atheism is all over the world. One of the key reasons is the universal acceptance of the theory of evolution. Evolution implies that life on earth is a product of chance, i.e., a random process. This is the opposite of what the Bible teaches that God created life. For decades, the theory of evolution has been taught in high schools, colleges, and universities as the explanation for the origin of life. This has caused many people to depart from the belief in the existence of God. This issue was at the heart of a landmark US federal case in 2005, where scientists on both sides argued their positions. At the center of the debate is a microscopic molecular nanomachine found inside the bacteria, the flagellum. Intelligent design scientists argued that the bacterial flagellum could not have been a product of evolution because of its irreducible complexity. Evolutionist scientists argued on the contrary. The judge decided in favor of evolution. This book is written in an easy-to-understand, step-by-step manner so that even high school students and their parents can grasp the complex issues involved. Mr. Meimban demonstrated that the theory of evolution is the result of the erroneous use of correlation and extrapolating it to justify assertions of cause and effect. At the core of his exposition is a mathematical demonstration that the flagellum could not have been a product of random process. There is a creator. God exists. "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good."-Psalm 14:1 (NIV)

Book excerpt: Darwinian evolution is taught unreservedly to students of science around the world as incontrovertible truth even though many aspects of the theory have been thoroughly discredited while others are woefully lacking in corroboration from a standpoint of proper scientific precept and practice. Practical and honest scientists increasingly are acknowledging that evolutionism is biologically and mathematically impossible. The outlandish premise is at odds with the laws of physics and manifestly incompatible with genuine geological and paleontological criteria for aging and classifying rocks, strata and fossils. Evolutionary theory's ostracism of God as a supreme designer and creator of the universe and of life has emboldened many of history's most ruthless dictators who have embraced its disturbing message to commit crimes of unspeakable evil. Many millions of people have lost their lives as demagogues, fueled by evolutionist inclinations, have sought to legitimize sinister proclivities such as racism, bigotry, eugenics and ethnic cleansing, among other perpetrations of antipathy and wickedness. It is not unreasonable to assume that many of today's social and behavioral thinkers, as well as misguided scientists who support evolutionary theory, also nurture predilections that are far removed from wholesome deportment and espouse leanings that show scant respect for the sanctity of human life. Evolutionary thought falls outside the precincts of essential moral contemplation.and is beyond the realm of real science!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God, Evolution & Science: How Our World Evolved from God presents a new approach for linking God, energy, and our material world in an evolutionary way. Energy is conservative, and it exists in two forms: potential and kinetic. Scientists have well established that our physical world began as a singular, kinetic "Big Bang." Consequently, before that event, there had to exist a singular, potential, energetic reality, which I name the "Almighty." This potential reality is forward-leaning and thus has the unidirectional dimension of time, which must also be quantized. Since energy is oriented toward establishing systems, the Almighty must also have a systemic aspect. The author establishes that evolution is not only biological but logical. He shows how from the Almighty logically evolved a quantized, bidirectional, four-dimensional field. By progressively breaking the symmetries of this field, he is able to show how the four forces of physics logically evolved. He subsequently shows how our world as we observe it today logically evolved from the Almighty. Whether this Almighty is impersonal or personal is discussed at length. Finally, the author also shows that beyond the entropic decay of our world, our physical world will end a "Big Collapse." Nonetheless, because energy is conservative and eternal, the author shows how there remains the logistical possibility of a transcendentally evolved afterlife in the Almighty.

Book excerpt: This latest edition enhances the material of the first edition with a derivation of the value of the action for each of the Harrington–Shepard calorons/anticalorons that are relevant for the emergence of the thermal ground state. Also included are discussions of the caloron center versus its periphery, the role of the thermal ground state in U(1) wave propagation, photonic particle–wave duality, and calculational intricacies and book-keeping related to one-loop scattering of massless modes in the deconfining phase of an SU(2) Yang–Mills theory. Moreover, a derivation of the temperature–redshift relation of the CMB in deconfining SU(2) Yang–Mills thermodynamics and its application to explaining an apparent early re-ionization of the Universe are given. Finally, a mechanism of mass generation for cosmic neutrinos is proposed.
