Book excerpt: Meet AMBROSIA, one of GITCHI MANITOU’s HELPERS.AMBROSIA tells the story of the BEGINNING. In the BEGINNING, GITCHI MANITOU created the EARTH in which we live. First GITCHI MANITOU created the CREATURES of LIGHTS, MOUNTAINS, TREES, FISH, BIRDS, and MAMMALS. At this time GITCHI MANITOU also created the SHIRES of EDEN, AGARTHA, ATLANTIS, SHAMBHALA, AZTLAN, and CAMELOT. Over time, the CREATURES start to forget about the SHIRES so GITCHI MANITOU creates the TRAIN to take them to the SHIRES so they can better remember them. AMBROSIA is a marvelous story teller, telling all about the CREATURES and the other HELPERS. Besides loving to talk, AMBROSIA also loves to eat and interrupts the story from time to time to talk about what they’re eating right then. Some more memorable quotes: FISH also came in a variety of styles, but it wasn’t as interesting a variety as with TREES. I’m just saying, personally, I don’t think three really counts as variety. FISH might argue that point, but I don’t think they have a strong case. Ah, lunch time! Sanjits is it? Surprise, surprise! You could be so kind as to pass me one of them, pretty please. And some mayonnaise. And some mustard. No, I’m not eating two sanjits. I’m eating one double-decker sanjit. Now, where was I? Oh yes. The CREATURES. Of course there’s no CREATURES on this sanjit. Don’t be daft! Those are my hands! Now what happened in the BEGINNING? Oh yes, I remember. No, don’t remind me. I remember. It was a long time ago, it just took me a few seconds to call up that particular memory. Yes, I know, you all could tell it better. Yes, you were there too. But I’m telling this story. Somebody else can tell the next one. Rating G; Reading Level Easy 5th Grade; Longest Word: Intrinsicalities

Book excerpt: Hi, My name is Frank. This is my story. I’m sure there are other bottles in the stream, carrying other stories about what happened. This is what I recall. Some might say, it is my version of the truth. Will we ever know what happened? Some are certain they know, “Preaching it” as it were “from the rooftops”. Some are certain, but keep silent, for fear their truth will come out. Most of the world didn’t live all the way through those cataclysmic events. Most of us who did are content to just write our stories down, place them in bottles and toss those bottles into the stream. Like most, I’m hoping that somebody downstream will find my story. Then perhaps, all the stories will merge. All the pieces will be put together. And at last we’ll finally know what really happened. And of course there will always be those who say that nothing ever happened. That the rest of us just were dreaming or having nightmares. But, I know better. At least I think I do. This is my story of what happened, the night the stars went away. Rating G; Reading Level Easy 6th Grade

How did he get his green thumb? And what is his view of how things happened during his first year? It has to be a unique view, not everyone is a Plantasian. We also know that Buster’s last name had ten syllables before it was shortened to Tensyllables. What is it originally and why was it changed? Rating G; Reading Level Easy 6th Grade; Longest Word: Classifications. Let’s start the story with the earliest ancestor of Buster that we know of. That would be Wampum ThePrinceIsMadEmphaphycoNewton. He was the youngest Master Agronomist in the history of Wher Garland. He also happened to be the first Plantasian. Wampum was able to save Wher Garland. Following in his footsteps, Buster was able to save the Universe. Many people think that the only way to get to Wizard School is to either take the Train. But if you can’t afford the train, there is a bus to Wizard School. Yet, Buster Tensyllables didn’t take the bus or the train. He did take a bus, but not the one to Wizard School and not the one to Prep School where his parents thought he was heading. He took a bus for a short distance, then he walked. Along the way, he met Sidney Rather Nottingham who was also walking to Wizard School. Luckily, one of they knew the way. Otherwise they would have been lost.

Well maybe you would, you’re just crazy enough to do something so foolish as that. But how many horrors would someone be willing to face for love? And why, oh why, would she travel to the home of the Dzhardes? They aren’t even lovable! But she did. And believe it or not, so might you. Fair warning in advance. This is not a pretty story. Yes, it is a romance. Though, if it’s a romance that you’re looking for, you might want to try other books of mine in that genre. As a rule, I don’t write horror stories. Life is scary enough without hearing about horror. And I, for one, don’t like to scare myself silly. However, this tale came to me begging to be told. And it had just enough romance in it that I didn’t reject it outright. So if you want to see just how far somebody would go for love or if you want to raise your adrenaline levels, this book will do the trick. I’ve tried not to make it too scary. And I’ve omitted the most frightening parts. After all, I wouldn’t want you to have nightmares for the rest of your life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Another of my mystical poetry books in the series: The Language of the Wind. In this book, we look at things from the horizon. But the horizon is just another way of saying the edge. Sometimes when looking at things from the edge, it's the edge of getting happy or the edge of going crazy. Sometimes you're pulled back from the brink just in time. In this book there are White Water Journeys, the Outer Wondrousness, the Perihelion of Bliss, Dreamscapes and Funnels, Wisdom, Cunning, and Loneliness, Rhythms on the Brink, the Inner Marvel, and Heart Tonic. Then we get really close with Approaching the Edge, perhaps a little too closely. Instilling the Edge, You can't get closer than this. Of course that's only true until you do. Then you're on the Far Edge of the Horizon. I've also included a couple of mystical short stories - Miguelito: The smallest sueno (dream). That Hole Inside You, featuring your favorite striped mammal - Skunk. Mystics try to describe the indescribable with words. They bring you in touch with the spiritual world. Some mystical writing is hard to understand. I'd like to think that mine is easy. And some of it is very humorous. Of course, what could be more spiritual than chocolate? I've included two poems on that. Rating G. Reading Level: Very Easy 4th Grade. Longest Word: Tremendousness

Leesha loses her boyfriend Shmedley Thrumbledack and gains him back. Shmedley plays a trick on the couple who were posing as his Parents. And the Tensome learns more about the movement of the Springboks, who Arlanda Florida the Principal is certain are up to no good. A bully becomes friends with Shmedley. Shmedley can be friends with almost anyone, so this is not that surprising. And Amanda Sunflower Triangulum also gains a friend. Read on to find out more of what happens with the Tensome during their third year at Wizard School. Rating G; Reading Level Easy 5th Grade; Longest Word: Classifications Female teenage wizard Leesha Fourthchild is very good at casting spells. But is she too good? Leesha casts a spell which doesn’t just make her disappear. This spell make her cease to exist. This is good because now she won’t ever have to worry about turning into a velociraptor ever again. She won’t have to worry about turning into a dangerous dinosaur who might hurt somebody. As long as she was with her boyfriend Shmedley Thrumbledack, she didn’t have to worry about that because he can turn her back into a human. Speaking of Shmedley, now that Leesha is no more, she’ll never get to hold hands with him again. She’ll never get to kiss him again. And she terribly misses him. How will Leesha be able to exist again? Who can help her? Leesha finds that there is one advantage to not existing. It makes it easier to spy on the underground world and find out what they’re up to. Shmedley is a Spring. A Spring is the opposite of an Offspring. If you’re a Spring you never had parents. This is different from an Orphan, for they once had parents. A Spring is also something that bounces. The Spring is a certain time of year. It opens the door to Summer, to better things. A Spring is a flow of water into a pool. A Spring is a magical being who has all these magical attributes. How can Shmedley use these forms of magic to help him. It’s good that he has some magic, because he doesn’t have a wand. And even though Wizard Math is good for solving problems, it’s not much help when you’re being picked on by bullies.

Book excerpt: Just like down home is a phrase my Grandpa said a lot. It’s a fancy way of saying everything went just fine. My Grandpa had a lot of phrases which he said repeated quite often. Some people call them Hillbilly phrases. But as my Grandpa said, he was a Mountain William, not a Hill Billy. My favorite phrase of his was his response when asked how he was. Why I’m fine as a frog’s hair and twice as curly. In this story, Joel September’s life is not going that great. He’s stuck in a job he really hates, but it pays the bills. But then a crisis happens, one which starts his life flowing in a much better direction. And Joel starts to be aware that very soon his life is going to be just like down home! Tonight Joel had no worries. Things were about to change for the better, he could feel it in his bones. “The toe bone’s connected to the … foot bone”, Joel began to sing to himself. Well his singing wasn’t perfect. It was off-key as usual. It was nice to know he was still human. Joel left the sidewalk and continued on across a field of grass. He kept one eye to the ground, on the lookout for presents left by stray dogs. But somehow, he couldn’t focus on the ground tonight. His spirits were just too high. Pretty soon, Joel felt like he was walking on air. It was a wonderful feeling, to feel like you were floating. Joel walked past the Pearly Gates, where St Peter had just posted a “No Trespassing” sign. Joel laughed at the sign and called out, “Very funny Pete”, as he walked by. “I thought you’d enjoy it”, St Peter called back, and then hurried to take the sign back down. Heaven wouldn’t be Joel’s destination tonight, nor for a long time to come. He had too much going right for him on earth. And soon, very soon, things would be going so much more rightly. Book excerpt: In my first book on Electric Cars, I covered those which were available in the US. In my new book, I decided to cover the world. I also venture into Electric Planes and EVTOLS - Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing machines. Even though EVs are very interesting, you might get bored after the 100th or so. To relieve your boredom, I inserted stories about my visits from a couple of outer space aliens who are very interested in Electric Cars. Who says you can't mix research books with sci-fi and humor? I start with the most popular EVs. I cover many parts of the globe. And I cover lesser known Electric cars. Some places around the world don't have good roads or the roads are too crowded. There, electric motorcycles, rickshaws, and other vehicles are more popular than electric cars. And did you know that there's an electric skateboard? Electric Cars come in several models - Sedans, SUVs, Crossovers, Hatchbacks, etc. There are even little electric bubble cars. And there's a Amphibious E-Tricycle Camper. Now is a good time to get into an EV - there's availability. You'll get good range. And you'll save money on gas and maintenance. Besides, bans on ICE vehicles (internal combustion engine - petrol powered cars) are coming. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon. And supermost of all, owning an EV is cool and the wave of the future. And you want to get into the action now because you want to ride the crest of the wave. Some people are still worried about - what happens if the battery dies. I cover that. Good news - not a problem. I also cover converting your car to an EV (or rather hiring someone to do that for you) and EV Rentals. I conclude the book with what it would take to own an EV Dealership, My EV choices, and statements by World Leaders on EVs. I evaluate the more popular cars and provide a blank evaluation form so you can make your own evaluations. This book is packed with information, but I keep it light so you won't get bored. Actually, that's not true. I kept it light so that I wouldn't get bored.

Book excerpt: In the second story in this series, Dancer, a Chief, a Shaman, a God who is a horse, and Dancer’s other close friends must heal the holes that have developed between the worlds. These holes have developed because Dancer and her friends opened them by using their magic. Of course, their magic alone wasn’t enough to open these holes. Their magic had acted on their desires, their desires for things to be different. Once the holes were opened, Dancer and her friends continued to use them, which made the holes larger. But now people are falling through who have no magic to fall back through the other way. People are falling through unintentionally. And somehow that had to stop. This story is told from Jamil, the Artist’s, perspective. So, I thought it appropriate to include a short story about another artist at the end. It’s titled, The Artist. Creative, I know. This artist has always wanted to be an artist, but has to give up his dream because he can’t make enough money at it and because it’s not an accepted profession. Eventually, he does become an artist. However, there’s one thing he cannot paint – a sunset. And he won’t be able to paint a sunset until he understands the beauty behind a sunset.

While it’s the same story as Shmedley Thrumbledack’s story in Book 1 of this series, we learn different things. For one thing, it’s told from a different person’s perspective. For another, Jenie remembers more things than Schmedley. Jenie Maloy is one of the Tensome – a group of ten kind students who somehow end up together in their dorm – Hotel Westly. Jenie doesn’t want her parent to find about her friends, because every time they do, she quickly loses those friends. Jenie thinks she wants to hang with the super-rich kids. She also wants to hang out with boys, several boys, enough boys to drive her parents nuts. But she finds that hanging with the Tensome is what she really wants to do. And she learns that she has a gift she has always wanted, but which she always thought she never had. In this book, we are introduced to the rest of the Tensome and to the rest of the Teachers. Her magic diary won’t let her cheat on schoolwork. But it does help her remember things, especially the names of all those boys. Jenie’s parents give her the choice of riding the Train to Wizard School or riding the Bus. Even though Jenie knows that she’ll totally loathe riding on the Bus, she agrees to do so. Jenie figures that riding the Bus to Wizard School is the right thing to do. And doing the right thing will get her into Hotel UpAbove where all the super-rich kids stayed. Well, maybe she’d only end up in Hotel Northby where the rich, but not super-rich, kids stayed. However, something went terribly wrong. For Jenie Maloy ended up in Hotel Westly. Yet, as soon as she met the hotel clerk Pinkshny Shmerimidan, she knew that they would be best friends, even though Pinkshny was several years older.
