Dabei wird insbesondere der Beratungsbereich fokussiert. Die Forschungsfrage lässt sich somit wie folgt formulieren: Welche Bedeutung kommt der non-verbalen Kommunikation in der psychosozialen Beratung zu? Um die Forschungsfrage zu beantworten, werden zunächst die Definition und die Grundlagen der nonverbalen Kommunikation erläutert. Anschließend werden Möglichkeiten zur Deutung von nonverbaler Kommunikation aufgezeigt. Darauf aufbauend wird auf die Bedeutung der nonverbalen Kommunikation in der psychosozialen Beratung eingegangen. Die Arbeit wird auf Basis der Analyse von wissenschaftlicher Literatur erstellt und ist theoretisch ausgerichtet. Die Kommunikation setzt sich aus verbalen und nonverbalen Elementen zusammen. Während sich der verbale Aspekt auf die Sprache beziehungsweise den Wortinhalt bezieht, umfasst die nonverbale Kommunikation Gestik, Mimik, Sprachmuster, Körpersprache, Haltung, Proxemik, ideomotorische Bewegungen, diverse Körperreaktionen und andere Elemente. Verbale und nonverbale Elemente ergänzen einander; es wäre unmöglich, ohne nonverbalen Aspekt zu kommunizieren. Gerade nonverbale Elemente sorgen für die entsprechende Glaubwürdigkeit und Überzeugungskraft von kommunikativen Botschaften. Das Wissen um die nonverbale Kommunikation und die Möglichkeit, diese zu deuten, bringen Menschen zahlreiche Vorteile. Wer die nonverbale Kommunikation wirkungsvoll lesen, interpretieren und steuern kann, erzielt einen größeren Erfolg im Leben. Die Fähigkeit, nonverbal zu kommunizieren, trägt zur Entwicklung von Empathie und zur Verbesserung von zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen bei. Dies ist besonders wertvoll in den Zeiten der Digitalisierung, wenn die Kommunikation immer seltener offline abläuft und es immer schwieriger wird, andere Menschen zu verstehen. In einem solchen Kontext spielen die nonverbale Kommunikation und das nonverbale Verhalten eine immer größere Rolle.

Nichtsdestoweniger ist sie ein bedeutender Bestandteil in unseren Beziehungen. Dies bleibt nicht ohne Auswirkungen auf unsere psychische Gesundheit. Aus diesem Grund wäre es interessant, zu untersuchen, welche Rolle die nonverbale Kommunikation in der Beziehungsarbeit spielt, bezogen auf die psychosoziale Beratung. Zuerst muss zum Zwecke der Abgrenzung festgestellt werden, was zur nonverbalen Kommunikation gehört. Anschließend wird die Bedeutung der nonverbalen Kommunikation für die Beziehungsarbeit untersucht. Im dritten Teil dieser Arbeit wird die psychosoziale Beratung definiert, die Rolle der Beziehungsarbeit in der psychosozialen Beratung erläutert und der Einfluss der nonverbalen Kommunikation auf die Beziehungsarbeit der psychosozialen Beratung thematisiert. In einem Fazit werden die hier behandelten Inhalte reflektiert und bildet damit den Abschluss dieser Abhandlung.
