Download or read book Bihar to Tihar written by Konhaiya Kumar and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-04-30 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I am Konhaiya Kumar, native of Bihar. I am doing PhD on a very important subject "Mating habits of gay chimpanzees in South Africa" at PANU university, the best university in India and possibly the best university in the world. My idols are "Faizal Guru," "Janab Kasab Sahib," "Focus Carat," "Baba Badkar" and all PhD students who had committed suicide since they failed to solve their PhD problems. I personally feel that, all deprived Indians should automatically be awarded a PhD degree coupled with a free pension of 1 lakh rupees/ month to be delivered in cash via post at door step. Till then we are going to fight for azaadi from India. Imagine a day, when no PhD student would have to commit suicide, imagine a day, when no lower caste will be humiliated by upper caste, s/he can use his/her doctorate degree and force others to call him/her Dr. X, Dr. Y, etc. Imagine a day, when all deprived people can take part in active politics and "Make Communism Great Again" thanks to my "one lakh per month" pension idea. Bhagat Singh said, "It is easy to kill individuals, but you cannot kill ideas." I do not know where this book will take me, but I think it will be used as a text book in my PANU university. In this book, I describe my life from childhood to stardom, my experiences with both deprived and upper caste people, I also describe the inhuman condition of Tihar Jail in details. I lost my virginity in Tihar jail. I also provide feasible solutions to all burning problems of India. I am hoping that, government of India will buy few thousands copies of my books and distribute among all civil servants so that they can use my solutions to solve the problems that they face while working for people of India. If my solutions are found useful, I would not mind getting "Bharat Ratna" for myself. I love #AdarshLiberal people, I hate right wing #Bhakts! After I have become famous in India and whole world, so far, rightwing #Bhakts have thrown 5 right leg slippers at me. I would request them to throw both slippers so that I can make use of them.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Global developments have impacted Nepal’s import-dependent economy—particularly through higher commodity prices. The current account weakened and reserves declined in the first half of 2022. Pressure on reserves has subsided since then, thanks in part to monetary policy tightening and cooling domestic demand, but inflation remains elevated. Fiscal policy has been less expansionary than projected, but a recent fall in revenues is adding to near-term fiscal pressures. Non-performing loans are increasing, while capital adequacy ratios remain above regulatory minima. Risks are on the downside.

Book Synopsis Financial Accountability in Nepal by : World Bank
Download or read book Financial Accountability in Nepal written by World Bank and published by World Bank Publications. This book was released on 2003 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Nepal has suffered from the lack of proper management of public expenditures, stagnant real revenues, large and inefficient parastatals, and a weak financial sector. Fiduciary risk remains high. His Majesty's Government of Nepal has accorded high priority to the assurance of good accountability and transparency in public sector financial management." "Reforms are now critical and should be approached in an integrated way covering planning, budgeting, accounting, internal control, internal audit, external audit, and oversight. Action in only one area of financial management will not result in the same degree of benefits. The capacity building recommended in this report's Development Action Plan is designed to introduce international accounting and auditing standards in both the public and the private sectors, and to close the gap between precept and practice. The Government has a firm commitment to implement these time-bound actions." --Résumé de l'éditeur.
Book Synopsis Pro-poor Growth and Liberalization in Developing Economies by : Sanjaya Acharya
Download or read book Pro-poor Growth and Liberalization in Developing Economies written by Sanjaya Acharya and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-03-01 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By looking at the link between trade liberalization and pro-poor growth in Nepal, this book explores how a developing and transition economy can attain higher and pro-poor growth along with the ongoing trend of globalization. The author develops a social accounting database for Nepal and applies it to quantify computable general equilibrium (CGE) model to investigate the trade-offs between growth and distribution that are associated with opening up the economy and deregulating it. The book presents a number of pragmatic scenarios that bring about the desired pro-poor growth effects in order to demonstrate possible outcomes for policy making. The research findings apply to other economies with similar macroeconomic structure to Nepal; those small economies with a dominant, traditional, and stagnant agriculture; fragile industrial base, weak and volatile external sector, and almost half of the population living below the poverty line. This book will be of considerable interest to students and scholars in the areas of development economics, political economy of policy reforms, and trade and poverty with special emphasis on South Asia.
