Si tratta di un argomento interessante gia dal punto di vista antropologico, avendo per oggetto un'esperienza fondamentale di percezione fisica. A livello redazionale, poi, si scopre il grande interesse lucano di presentare Gesu come oggetto della visione. Il lettore percepisce e progredisce nella logica accennata soprattutto grazie ad una serie d'incontri con Gesu, che, come nel Quarto Vangelo, rappresentano i veri paradigmi della comunicazione che si stabilisce tra gli attanti. Gia nel vangelo dell'infanzia il vedere Gesu costituisce un motivo fondamentale. Passo dopo passo il discorso sul vedere diviene sempre piu convincente per sfociare poi nell'apice narrativo - il fine logico dello sviluppo teologico dell'argomento trattato - le apparizioni del Gesu risorto (Lc 24). La sua ricchezza e dinamicita sono dovute al fatto che lo stesso vedere, alla fine del Vangelo, assume un carattere di cerniera, in quanto chiude l'arco tematico apertosi in Lc 1-3 e guarda all'inizio del secondo libro di Luca che ne garantisce la continuita.
