Befides thefe fpots, Every ring or joint is marked nearer the middle of the back with'three {mall lateral dots of blueish, difpofed in a femilunar manner, and thus forming a longitudinal u aved line] on each tide within the two rows of red fpots. The anterior part of the head is furnifiled with tenta cula, which the animal can advance or retraet at pleafure; this is fur.
