Devoted to one another, Adryel and Ramael must each choose a side in the brewing war over the creation of humanity: God desires to breathe life into his new creation, but Lucifer is intent upon sabotage. Ramael faithfully serves as second in command of the Army of Heaven; his loyalty never waivers. Adryel-swayed by Lucifer's arguments-casts her lot in with the rebelling archangel. Leaving Ramael and all else she holds dear, Adryel wages war with Lucifer and refuses to renounce him. Finding herself exiled to Hell, she furthers her efforts in support of the cause by tempting the newly created humans to embrace Lucifer's persuasion. Despite the battle lines, Adryel yearns to tell Ramael she loves him still. But how could he ever return her love when she has done more to thwart God's plans than all the other fallen angels combined?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Combining his knowledge as a doctor and a lifelong fascination with Virginia Woolf's life and work, eminent psychiatrist Peter Dally offers a haunting and compelling look at the depression that tormented Virginia Woolf throughout her adult years, in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: Manic Depression and the Life of Virginia Woolf. On three occasions Virginia went mad. Symptoms of these episodes included conversations with her dead mother, and hearing birds speak in Greek. Though a quiet life cushioned her childhood, the renown that Woolf achieved through writing inspired the bouts of depression and elation that she regularly experienced as an adult. This terrified Virginia, and though the experience offered extraordinary insight into her craft, Woolf lived in constant fear of her dreadful affliction. Virginia's most vital protection from stress was her husband, Leonard. Without his constant vigilance and care, it is doubtful she would have been so creatively productive. Yet, paradoxically, their marriage ultimately precipitated her most dangerous bout of madness. Toward the end of her life, when events outside the couple's control led to Leonard's own depression and gradual withdrawal, Virginia found herself facing madness alone, and with tragic results. Compassionate and disturbing, this fascinating study is the first to look at Virginia Woolf's life from the perspective of her illness.

Book excerpt: Visions Of Heaven And Hell is a message of meditation based on the Bible and written by John Bunyan (November 30, 1628 – August 31, 1688) was an English writer and Puritan preacher best remembered as the author of the Christian allegory The Pilgrim's Progress. In addition to The Pilgrim's Progress, Bunyan wrote nearly sixty titles, many of them expanded sermons. Bunyan came from the village of Elstow, near Bedford. He had some schooling and at the age of sixteen joined the Parliamentary Army during the first stage of the English Civil War. After three years in the army he returned to Elstow and took up the trade of tinker, which he had learned from his father. He became interested in religion after his marriage, attending first the parish church and then joining the Bedford Meeting, a nonconformist group in Bedford, and becoming a preacher. After the restoration of the monarch, when the freedom of nonconformists was curtailed, Bunyan was arrested and spent the next twelve years in jail as he refused to give up preaching. During this time he wrote a spiritual autobiography, Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, and began work on his most famous book, The Pilgrim's Progress, which was not published until some years after his release. Bunyan's later years, in spite of another shorter term of imprisonment, were spent in relative comfort as a popular author and preacher, and pastor of the Bedford Meeting. He died aged 59 after falling ill on a journey to London and is buried in Bunhill Fields. The Pilgrim's Progress became one of the most published books in the English language; 1,300 editions having been printed by 1938, 250 years after the author's death. He is remembered in the Church of England with a Lesser Festival on 30 August, and on the liturgical calendar of the United States Episcopal Church on 29 August. Some other churches of the Anglican Communion, such as the Anglican Church of Australia, honour him on the day of his death (31 August).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Beggar Lama is the story of the Gyalrong Kuzhap, a Tibetan Buddhist polymath and reincarnated lama who has led a remarkable life through the vicissitudes of the twentieth century. Born in 1930 in Tsanlha, Gyalrong, on the easternmost fringes of the Himalayan-Tibetan Plateau, he would go on to become a monk, a Communist official, a professor of Tibetan studies, and a leader in the Tibetan cultural survival movement in China. Drawing on hundreds of hours of in-depth and open-ended conversations over more than a decade, Tenzin Jinba presents the Gyalrong Kuzhap’s life story. The Beggar Lama chronicles his journeys—from Gyalrong to Lhasa, from steadfast Communist to critic of the Chinese regime, from scholar to activist—painting a compelling portrait of an influential and unconventional figure. In so doing, the book shows how the Gyalrong Kuzhap’s tale intertwines with larger social and political developments, providing a wide-ranging history of Tibet, the Sino-Tibetan borderlands, and China over the past century. The Beggar Lama shares the Gyalrong Kuzhap’s insightful and often critical views on Tibetan cultural and religious institutions, the Chinese Communist Party’s social and political agendas, Tibetan studies in China, and the prospects for Tibetan cultural rebirth. Above all, it is a story of hope in dark times, as the Gyalrong Kuzhap seeks with his “last breath” to prevent Tibetan culture and memory from vanishing.

Humanitys quest for a wholesome peaceful life goes unabated. Our search for our better self that identifies with the reality of the world we live in all too often filled with grief and stress is juxtaposed with faith and hope for change or a miracle. Do we just have faith expecting God will deliver humanity from the ills we have caused? Should we just buckle down and be practical seeking solution with our rational self? What kind of God do we actually know or are we seeking a relationship with an image of God taught to us. What is the divine matrix and does a personal God speak to us? Science stands for one view of creation and faith stands for another? Is there a joining point of the two? Has our species Homo sapiens stalled out in evolutionary development? Is the world becoming a village of cooperation and mutual peace seeking? Can we continue the way we have been and survive our own arrogance? What is the future of faith, religion and spirituality? The author in a comprehensive way takes us on a journey to explore answers to these questions and much more. Eartheaven is a paradigm of integration between the souls development and our biological body and by extension all creation. He delves into scientific reality while preserving in the beginning God created. Creating Eartheaven in Your life is a deep exploratory of the souls life in the experience of hurt and suffering and the potential for there to be personal divine human embodiment and therefore earth peace. Through ten fundamental teaching combining Jesus words of two thousand years ago, an Aramaic understanding, the authors revelatory experience in an apparition of Jesus, his 44 years life experience, psychology and science, your reading and learning experience will be a challenge and liberation of the soul. Profound transformation is needed and this codex offers the leverage needed to shift our life course towards personal awakening and transformation as well as providing a blue print for future generations. Creating Eartheaven in Your Life brings us into universal principles of life, a meeting for humanity without walls. This volume of two, addresses specifically transformation of the soul, heaven unfolding. Volume two addresses transformation of the body representing the earth and thus eartheaven. Granted this book is not an easy read but proves to be a strong mirror reflecting back to us our lives and what we can become fulfilling humanitys evolutionary life potential and perhaps vital to our survival as a people.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Message of Faith” is the second book co-authored by Retha McPherson and her teenage son Aldo. It tells of Aldo’s miraculous healing and their supernatural journey since a car accident almost claimed Aldo’s life in 2004. The book contains journal entries in Aldo’s own handwriting wherein he warns the bride of Christ to be ready for the soon arrival of the King. During Aldo’s coma Jesus took him to heaven and hell. “Aldo rarely wanted to talk or write about hell. Jesus said he had to wait for the right time,” Retha explains. She goes on to say, “That time is now here. He recently told me Jesus said to him, ‘Aldo, tell My bride – BE PREPARED, I am coming soon.’” Aldo’s letters will open your eyes to the reality of heaven and hell and the implications of your choices here on earth. The book explains that the road of dying to self and living in Christ is what purifies the bride, and this can only be done if you walk by faith and not by sight – believing that God is who He says He is.
