Based from Al-Quran & Al-Hadith. Prophet Musa ibn Amram known as Moses in the Hebrew Bible, is considered a prophet, messenger, and leader in Islam. In Islamic tradition instead of introducing a new religion, Moses is regarded by Muslims as teaching and practicing the religion of his predecessors and confirming the scriptures and prophets before him. Prophet Harun or Aaron is also mentioned in the Quran as a prophet of God. The Quran praises Aaron repeatedly, calling him a "believing servant" as well as one who was "guided" and one of the "victors." Aaron is important in Islam for his role in the events of the Exodus, in which, according to the Quran and Muslim tradition, he preached with his brother Moses to the Pharaoh of the Exodus.

It swallowed up straight away all the falsehoods which they showed.} (The Holy Quran Surah Al-Araf Verse 117) Why is it that a garden is sometimes green and sometimes yellow? Why is it that the deserts are dry and the mountaintops are covered with snow? Why is it that the color of the sun is like fire when rising and like blood when setting? Why is it that the moon turns from a beautiful full moon to a slim crescent? There are so many 'whys' which I cannot find the answer for. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book consists of three essays and is an extension of Freud’s work on psychoanalytic theory as a means of generating hypotheses about historical events. Freud hypothesizes that Moses was not Hebrew, but actually born into Ancient Egyptian nobility and was probably a follower of Akhenaten, an ancient Egyptian monotheist. Freud contradicts the biblical story of Moses with his own retelling of events, claiming that Moses only led his close followers into freedom during an unstable period in Egyptian history after Akhenaten (ca. 1350 BCE) and that they subsequently killed Moses in rebellion and later combined with another monotheistic tribe in Midian based on a volcanic God, Jahweh. Freud explains that years after the murder of Moses, the rebels regretted their action, thus forming the concept of the Messiah as a hope for the return of Moses as the Saviour of the Israelites. Freud said that the guilt from the murder of Moses is inherited through the generations; this guilt then drives the Jews to religion to make them feel better.

Book excerpt: The Moment of Truth & The Arrival of the Stupor of Death If only Id taken the path of the messenger! Lest We Say, If only Id been Muslim enough! This book is not a philosophical, political, biographical, or historical account of anybody nor is it an account of the United States elections, which catapulted a pharaoh-qarun like Donald Trump to become the president of the United States of America, but it is a plea to the genus of man, believers, and atheists, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim, including the fascist new president of the USA to return to the Lord of Moses, who spoke to Moses from beyond the seventh sky, Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship me, and perform as-salat (prayers) for my remembrance. O Musa (Moses)! Verily! I am Allah, the Lord of Al-Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)! Verily, the hour is coming, and my will is to keep it hidden so that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. There is no doubt, this is a perfect creed which served its time but was complemented and superseded first by Christianity and then both were later superseded by the last and universal faith, Islam, the message Mohammad preached to humanity. No wonder the name of the Lord (Allah), which he taught Moses and to all, is the simplest that can be said easily by an infant starting to speak. Any other name does not apply to nor fit him of glory!

The book provides a good cross-section ofal-Faruqi's contribution to the study of comparative religion and covers a wide spectrum of inter-religious issues including commonality and differences between Islam, Christianity and Judaism, Muslim-non-Muslim relations, and the issue of Mission and Da'wah. It is a fascinating study by an engaging and challenging scholar and activist of our time.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vicchio believes that by understanding how much Muslim tradition overlaps with the biblical traditions of Judaism and Christianity, we might begin to expose a wedge of common ground on which understanding and respect might begin to be built. Vicchio begins with a brief introduction sketching some fundamentals of Muslim history and culture, and clearing away some common misconceptions. His main goal, however, is to give us a detailed look at the treatment of biblical figures in the literature of Islam. The broad range of his research and presentation is startling. He begins with the Qur'an but continues on to the collected writing of the roughly two hundred years after Mohammed (Hadith, Sunnah, Akhbar) that came to be regarded as authoritative in the various traditions that developed in early Islam. He then traces the interest in these biblical figures on into modern treatments of the role of these figures in Muslim scholarship and how these figures are understood and used in the traditions of Islam yet today. The result of Vicchio's scholarship and presentation will be a revelation to most Christian and Jewish readers. It has become somewhat commonplace to refer to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as the three Abrahamic faiths. This shows a beginning awareness of the beginnings of each of these three great religions, birthed in the Middle East, in a common ancestor, Abraham (Ibrahim). Abraham's faithfulness and his closeness to God make his a revered figure in each of these three great faiths, and for each Abraham is a beginning of the story of the particular relationship between God and the people of each of these religions. --from the Foreword

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A New York Times Notable Book of 2015 “A tour-de-force reimagining of Camus’s The Stranger, from the point of view of the mute Arab victims.” —The New Yorker He was the brother of “the Arab” killed by the infamous Meursault, the antihero of Camus’s classic novel. Seventy years after that event, Harun, who has lived since childhood in the shadow of his sibling’s memory, refuses to let him remain anonymous: he gives his brother a story and a name—Musa—and describes the events that led to Musa’s casual murder on a dazzlingly sunny beach. In a bar in Oran, night after night, he ruminates on his solitude, on his broken heart, on his anger with men desperate for a god, and on his disarray when faced with a country that has so disappointed him. A stranger among his own people, he wants to be granted, finally, the right to die. The Stranger is of course central to Daoud’s story, in which he both endorses and criticizes one of the most famous novels in the world. A worthy complement to its great predecessor, The Meursault Investigation is not only a profound meditation on Arab identity and the disastrous effects of colonialism in Algeria, but also a stunning work of literature in its own right, told in a unique and affecting voice.

Book excerpt: This intense and carefully researched book deals with the question that is increasingly on the minds of many, Is the Allah of the Qur an one and the same as the LORD God of the Bible? Although it may seem to some that this book is a response to the recent controversy at Wheaton College regarding what political science professor Larycia Hawkins stated in a Facebook page addressing a closely related question, Do Muslims and Christians worship the same God, (http: //www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/12/christian-college-suspend-professor/421029/ ) in reality it was completed in December 2015 on the very eve of this controversy after a two year research effort. This coincidence, however, heightens the timeliness and underlines the importance of this issue. The book deals with this question using authoritative Islamic and Christian sources thus giving the reader a clear understanding of the Qur anic Allah and the reasons he is not the same or even similar to the LORD God of the Bible. This book addresses the core differences, such that many will be enlightened and helped in understanding the issues objectively."

I know that my last transformation, from an object to an animal, was one of Allah's great Miracles. To Musa I was only a staff but to Almighty Allah I was something totally different. The staff of Prophet Musa (Moses), that is me. I am the staff of Musa. I preceded the Prophet while walking ...I would raise high then fall down onto earth all the way along. I have no mind and I know nothing about "why" or "how." At first the sun used to provide me with greenness and elasticity, but when I died it gave me strength and solidity, how amazing! Death is supposed to be the end of power and strength for all beings, but for me it was the opposite. I was only a branch of a tree and when I died I became stronger. So, you see that death means the ultimate end of power for some beings and a newborn power for others. It is both simple and miraculous at the same time. When a branch of a tree dies, it is turned into a staff and a staff does not gain its solidity unless it is completely dead. That is how power is generated from death, the cessation of being, and this is only a modest sign of Allah's Omnipotence. I believe in Allah just like all the plants and all the inanimate objects do, though each of us glorifies Allah in his own special way. So, it is me the staff of Musa! The most famous staff of all, chosen to be in the hands of Allah's Messenger to Pharaoh.
