Book Synopsis Murder in the Vatican by : Lucien Gregoire
Download or read book Murder in the Vatican written by Lucien Gregoire and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Murder in the Vatican is two books in one book: The Revolutionary Life of John Paul (the only existing biography of the 33-day Pope) and The CIA, Opus Dei and the 1978 Murders. Why two books in one book? Unless one understands the mystery of his life - something the Vatican prefers to keep secret - The Secret Life of John Paul - one will never understand the mystery of his unwitnessed death. This book is in its fourth edition. In that time, I have changed little of what I have said about this good man's life other than to expand my account in this new edition to include stories of his childhood and his young life as a seminarian and as a priest. Yet, the mystery of his death and the deaths of those around him has involved an investigative process that has taken me to Italy and elsewhere in the world many times and spanned many years. I knew much more five years ago, than I knew five years before that, and I knew much more two years ago, than I knew five years before that, and I know much more today, than I did then. Here for the first time is the proof. How John Paul, and those around him, fell victim to twentieth century capitalism as it was jointly embraced by the Vatican and the United States. BEWARE OF THE USED BOOK MARKET: 2003, 2005 and 2006 editions do not include the complete biography or the solution to the murders. Only this 404 page 2008 edition includes both compete books.

When all the gods seem to be failing him, Grand Vizier Hemiunu must seek answers among a mysterious Egyptian sect who claim to worship only the One True God. Hemiunu, Pharaoh’s Grand Vizier, orders his life with justice, truth, and precision. In like manner he orders the unprecedented building project with which Pharaoh has entrusted him. But good order is about to be disrupted. When the Overseer of Constructions is found murdered in Pharaoh's slaughterhouse, a murderous spiral begins to unfurl around the pyramid. As the court swells with treachery and the body count rises, Hemiunu finds himself caught between his architectural legacy and his instinct for justice. Meanwhile, troubling facts emerge linking Pharaoh's wife and the mysterious People of the One, a sect who "worship only one god, whom they say has no name that man knows, yet is the only god, the creator of everything." When Hemiunu finds himself in the company of these strange people, his spiritual certainties begin to wither along with his professional dreams. As his long relationship with Pharaoh strains under the weight of his task and the tug of his conscience, Hemiunu faces a disturbing choice: follow the evolving spiritual philosophies that guide his life, or honor the Pharaoh whose friendship and nepotism control his fate. “Higley gives readers a dose of biblical history set in King Nebuchadnezzar’s palatial gardens . . . The author’s insights into a woman’s inner strength as she searches for the one true God will leave readers rejoicing.” —RT Book Reviews TOP PICK! (on Garden of Madness)

Book Synopsis New South African Review 1 by : Doreen Atkinson
Download or read book New South African Review 1 written by Doreen Atkinson and published by NYU Press. This book was released on 2010-11-01 with total page 602 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is South Africa on a long-term decline? The New South African Review revives the tradition of critical, analytical scholarship developed by the South African Review in the 1970s and 1980s. Accessible to a wide readership and drawing upon authors from well beyond academia, its objective is to be informative, discursive and, at times, downright provocative. It seeks to provide contemporary comment and engage with current controversies. The first volume in the series, 2010: Development or Decline? ranges widely across the implications of the international crisis for the economy, the threats to our fragile ecology of present economic strategies, through to the state of the ANC and the public service, issues around service delivery, migration, HIV-Aids, land reform, crime, the sexual behaviour of our youth, and much more. Posing the provocative question of whether South Africa is embarking upon a long-term decline, the volume simultaneously argues the potential for a society premised upon social equality, social coherence and sustainability. This collection will appeal to both national and international audiences interested in engaging with the multiple dilemmas and challenges facing contemporary South Africa
Book Synopsis The Murder of Cleopatra by : Pat Brown
Download or read book The Murder of Cleopatra written by Pat Brown and published by Prometheus Books. This book was released on 2013-02-19 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A world-renowned criminal profiler takes a fascinating look at one of the most tragic mysteries in history. For more than two thousand years, the great pharaoh Cleopatra VII has been portrayed as a failed monarch. Various ancient sources state that she desperately ended her life with the bite of an asp, as her nemesis - the Roman general Octavian, later known as Augustus, the first Roman emperor - stormed Alexandria. Now, a completely unique interpretation of history is brought to light by world-renowned criminal profiler Pat Brown in her new myth-busting book, The Murder of Cleopatra. As host and profiler of The Mysterious Death of Cleopatra (Discovery 2005), Brown challenged the long-enduring myth that Cleopatra died via snakebite and that she committed suicide to avoid further humiliation. Using the techniques and methodology of investigative criminal profiling and crime reconstruction, The Murder of Cleopatra takes up where the Discovery Channel documentary left off. Brown's findings, borne of scientific method, rigorous inquiry, and deductive reasoning, will be revealed against a historical backdrop of mystery, drama, politics, danger, and romantic intrigue. The result: a thought-provoking analysis of the amazing woman Cleopatra truly was, a fascinating account of the queen's final desperate attempt to escape Egypt with her ships and treasure, and the brutal homicide that ended her life as the last Egyptian pharaoh.

Download or read book The Pyramid Conspiracy written by Pat Burchfield and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-02-09 with total page 122 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the days before the Great Flood, angels, called Nephilim, roamed the land and began to breed with humans, destroying the DNA of mankind and infecting the human race with the evil that had infected them from the fall of Lucifer who then hated God so much he brought sin to the earth in the form of a serpent causing Adam and Eve to fall in the garden, allowing generational sin to continue down through the ages. Just as sons and daughters receive an inheritance from their parents, they also receive sin from the parents as well. But why did Lucifer do this? If we go to the Bible, I think we can find the answer. It began with the creation of the angels, especially the angel Lucifer who is described in the Book of Isaiah 14aEUR"12 and Ezekiel 28aEUR"13 as being perfect in all his ways until sin was found in him. He was also described as the most beautiful creature God ever made. Diamonds, rubies, and emeralds were his covering. In other words, he made the jewels of the earth look good. But again, why did he fall? I believe one day, Lucifer took a long look into the mirror and thought to himself; Man, you are one good-looking dude. Any angel that looks this good should be a god himself. And it caused pride to well up inside himself, causing him to sin. Did God know Lucifer would sin? Sure, he did. God is omniscient. There is nothing hidden from him. God also saw the pride well up inside Lucifer, for God is also omnipresent as well. And like the infection the angels brought to the earth, Lucifer infected a third of the angels of heaven, causing war in the third heaven, which is in the sides of the north. And there was war in heaven and Michael the Archangel along with His angels fought with the Devil and His angels. (Revelation 12:7) And the devil was kicked unto the earth, taking one-third of the stars, which are also called angels with him., which brings us back to the Great Flood. God saw what the angels had caused by mating with humans. To stop the destruction of man, God sent the flood to destroy the angelsaEUR(tm) DNA off the earth. Only eight souls were saved to carry on the human race, and to make sure the angels no longer mated with humans, their angelic bodies were taken away, leaving them with a disembodied spirit, to be called by mankind by the term demons. This stayed the same until the tribulation period when ten of these evil spirits gained their freedom to inhabit human bodies once again. They created a conspiracy to destroy humans using an information chip which every human would have to take if they were to buy or sell anything. Without the chip, you would die. If you took the chip, you were bound for a lake of fire, a place that was made and reserved for the devil and his angels. The Pyramid conspiracy was instituted by these ten with the Antichrist at the top.
