Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a collection of essays that explore the intersection of Earth, Gender and Religion in African literary texts. It examines cultural, religious, theological and philosophical traditions, and their construction of perspectives and attitudes about Earth-keeping and gender. This publication is critical given the current global environmental crisis and its impact on African and global communities. The book is multidisciplinary in approach (literary, environmental, theological and sociological), exploring the intersection of African creative work, religion and the environment in their construction of Earth and gender. It presents how the gendered interconnectedness of the natural environment, with its broad spirituality and deep identification with the woman, features prominently in the myths, folklores, legends, rituals, sacred songs and incantations that are explored in this collection. Both male and female writers in the collection laud and accept woman’s enduring motif as worker, symbol and guardian of the environment. This interconnectedness mirrors the importance of the environment for the survival of both human and non-human components of Mother Earth. The ideology of women’s agency is emphasised and reinforced by ecofeminist theologians; namely those viewing African women as active agents working closely with the environment and not as subordinates. In the context of the environmental crisis the nurturing role of women should be bolstered and the rich African traditions that conserved the environment preserved. The book advocates the re-engagement of women, particularly their knowledge and conservation techniques and how these can become reservoirs of dying traditions. This volume offers recorded traditions in African literary texts, thereby connecting gender, religion and the environment and helpful perspectives in Earth-keeping.

Raising the Energies of Mother Earth Towards and After Ascension 2012: The Highest Truth explains that Earth can no longer exist in such negative energies. Her body is crumbling, and her spirit is broken. Yet there is hope as she moves into a new age; we are awakening to the truth of the universe that it is built on love alone. We now have a new chance to build a future free of war, religion, and the illusion of separation from God. The Great Cosmic Council brings forth the highest truth of the universe through the channelling of author Victoria Cochrane in a bid to expel the fallacies that we have come to believe. They tell the truth about creation, our oneness with Creator and the All, and of how our life here on Earth is the way our souls learn the lessons we have chosen to learn for our spiritual evolvement.

Book excerpt: Now in paperback! US bestselling author of Mother Earth Spirituality returns with a call for a spiritual awakening to create a new global culture. Beginning with the ways of the Lakota Sioux and branching outward, Sioux tribal leader Ed McGaa, known as Eagle Man, shows the error of using animals and the natural world as a whole for economic and political gain. He then offers everyday lessons and values gleaned from Nature that endure for all times and people. In this call for spiritual awakening, McGaa explains how we can create a new global culture based not on dominance over nature for economic and political gain, but on values that endure for all times and all people. Nature's Way explores Native American belief systems, oppression of Native Americans by the dominant society, the desacralisation of Nature, and the complicity of institutional religion. Taking on religion, politics, and culture, McGaa provides a template for readers – a path designed by Nature that anyone can follow. Using the lessons of eagle, bear, lion, wolf, orca, owl, tiger, buffalo, rat, deer – even the cottonwood tree, Nature's Way teaches all of us how we can overcome religious intolerance, treat women and men equally, preserve our environment, and live in peace.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For any student of spiritual teachings, this book will be an instant classic. It deals with one of the most important issues of our time, namely the relationship between human beings and the planet upon which we live. In reality, we are spiritual beings and our consciousness is connected to the quantum waveform of the planet. Thus, we are co-creating the reality we face, both in society and in the so-called natural environment. The book explains the 144 levels of consciousness possible on planet earth and how each problem seen in society is caused by people trapped at a certain level of consciousness. This gives an entirely new view of history, including "man's inhumanity to man." You will learn how spiritual people can play a major role in raising the collective consciousness, so that certain problems are simply transcended. The book is a direct revelation from humankind's spiritual teachers, including the Divine Mother, the Buddha and the Chohans of each of the spiritual rays. These ego-free teachers explain how we can each play a role in raising the collective consciousness and bringing society closer to a Golden Age. This will help us transcend current environmental problems by developing a new form of technology that is not force-based. It will also help us transcend all other problems by coming to understand the true potential of our minds, namely that the mind has power over matter. In fact, planet earth is a laboratory for teaching us the true power of the mind.

Chatty, opinionated and profoundly compassionate, Earth Mother discusses the environment (her body!), love, war and soul-woundedness, with specific messages for her sons and her daughter two-leggeds. Reviewers are calling the book a blend of prophecy, hope and inspiration packaged in novel and entertaining ways. If we could listen to Earth Mother, perhaps these are the messages we would be hearing as she so yearns for us to reconnect with her.
