Millefiori is a glass technique that produces decorative designs on glass beads. The term millefiori, meaning in Italian words "a thousand flowers", indicates a technique known from Roman times called "mosaic".The millefiori technique involves the production of glass canes, known as murrine, with multicolored motifs that are visible only from the cut ends.
