Charles finds that he must pick up the pieces of his shattered life and build a new existence for him and those who depend on him. But will he be able to start a fresh life in the new union? Thomas William Tear lives in the quaint, historic town of New Castle, Delaware, where he designs reproductions of historic clothing for Civil War reenactors. He has written numerous short stories and information pamphlets. Memoirs of a Confederate Gentleman is his first novel.
