Aufgrund der steigenden Burnout-Zahlen im Pflegebereich beschäftigt sich diese Hausarbeit mit präventiven Maßnahmen für die Reduktion eines Burnout-Risikos. Zu Beginn dieser Arbeit wird der Begriff „Burnout“ definiert und klassifiziert. Zusätzlich wird ein möglicher Verlauf mit den verschiedenen Symptomen anhand des 12-Phasen-Modells von Freudenberger dargestellt. Das dritte Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit Burnout im Pflegebereich und umfasst somit den Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit. Mithilfe des Phasenmodells von Burisch werden mögliche Burnout-Symptome im Verlauf präsentiert. Die Beschreibung der organisatorischen, individuellen und teambezogenen Risikofaktoren ermöglicht eine studienbasierte Darlegung möglicher Präventionsmaßnahmen für Pflegekräfte. Am Ende dieser wissenschaftlichen Arbeit werden die wichtigsten Aspekte zusammengefasst und die Forschungsfrage beantwortet. Abschließend werden Anregungen für die zukünftige Forschung dargelegt.

Der Begriff Burnout bezeichnet einen plötzlich einsetzenden oder langsam beginnenden Zustand körperlicher, geistiger und gefühlsmäßiger Erschöpfung. Es wird von einem Burnout gesprochen, wenn eine dauerhafte Gefährdung der seelischen und körperlichen Gesundheit durch Belastungen und Stress im Arbeitsalltag vorliegt. Erstmals erwähnt wurde der Begriff Burnout im Jahre 1974 vom Psychoanalytiker Herbert J. Freudenberger. Er beobachtete sowohl an sich selbst als auch an seinen Kollegen eine Form des „Ausgebranntseins“. Freudenberger übte mehrere Tätigkeiten aus, hatte eine Familie und arbeitete zudem ehrenamtlich mit drogensüchtigen jungen Prostituierten. Bei diesen Tätigkeiten bemerkte er eine zunehmende Erschöpfung. Er fühlte sich ausgelaugt, schneller reizbar und dauernd müde. Seine Prioritätensetzung veränderte sich dahingehend, dass er kaum noch Zeit für Familie, Freunde und Hobbys hatte. Im Verlaufe beobachtete er seine Kollegen und erkannte, dass diese ähnliche Symptome zeigten.

Ich bin also in meiner täglichen Arbeit für Mitarbeiter zuständig, die durch ihre individuelle Arbeitssituation (Probezeit, Ausbildung) einem erhöhten Druck ausgesetzt sind. Ein Teil meiner Aufgabe ist es, auf Mitarbeiter/-innen Einfluss zu nehmen. Dazu gehört es, Leistungen anzuspornen, Ideen der Mitarbeiter zu berücksichtigen und die Mitarbeiter anzuregen, ihr Potenzial auszuschöpfen. Auf der anderen Seite gehört es zu der Aufgabe einer leitenden Pflegekraft, Erschöpfungsmerkmale bei Mitarbeitern zu vermeiden, diese aber auch zu erkennen und richtig mit diesen umzugehen. Denn in den letzten Jahren rückt das Thema „Burnout“ zunehmend in den Mittelpunkt der Gesundheits- und Krankenpflege. Die Zeitschrift „Focus“ berichtet in dem Artikel „Pflegekräfte kurz vor dem Burnout“ darüber, dass jede fünfte Pflegekraft laut einer Studie der Betheler Psychiatrie mehrmals im Monat daran denkt, aus dem Beruf auszusteigen. Betroffen seien Auszubildende der Gesundheits- und Krankenpflege ebenso wie langjährige Mitarbeiter. (vgl. Focus, 2008) Diese Zahlen stellen die Arbeitgeber in Krankenhäusern vor immer neue Herausforderungen. In dieser Arbeit möchte ich mich mit dem Thema „Burnout“ beschäftigen. Im ersten Teil der Arbeit werde ich das Krankheitsbild vorstellen, bevor ich im zweiten Teil die Mitarbeiter- gesundheit als Führungsaufgabe am Beispiel Burnout in der Pflege erarbeiten werde. Hier werde ich die Zusammenhänge von strukturellen Belastungen, Burnout, und Stress darstellen und Hilfestellungen zum frühzeitigen Erkennen der Erkrankung aufführen, sowie das Thema der Prävention in den Mittelpunkt stellen.

Laut einer Studie der AOK im Jahre 2011 haben sich die Ausfalle wegen Burn-out seit 1999 in zwolf Jahren um 80 Prozent zugenommen. In einer andern Studie der Krankenkasse gaben 2009 ein Drittel der Befragten starke psychische Belastungen und sogar zwei Drittel klagten uber allgemeine psychische und psychosomatische Symptome."

Anna Kuliscioff (ca. 1854-1925) was a prominent figure in the revolutionary politics of her era, advocating for socialism and feminism. One of the founding members of the Italian Socialist Party, she actively contributed to the late-nineteenth-century flourishing of the Socialist International and the emergence of Italian socialism. For the last decades of her life, Kuliscioff's public militancy revolved around the "woman question." She viewed feminism through the lens of class struggle, addressing the double exploitation of women--in the workplace and at home. Kuliscioff fought a twofold battle: as a socialist, she unmasked the sexism of her colleagues; as a feminist, she criticized liberal-bourgeois feminism. In this key text, she makes her case for a socialist feminism. Originating as a lecture Kuliscioff delivered in April 1890 at a meeting of the the Milan Philological Circle (which denied membership to women), The Monopoly of Man explicitly links feminism to labor. Kuliscioff argues that labor frees women from the prison of the household and potentially fosters their emancipation; she advances the principle of equal pay for equal work. She declares that woman is enslaved by both her husband and by capital, calls marriage a form of women's servitude, and demands that motherhood be better appreciated as work. It is only when woman is economically independent and resists capitalism, she argues, that she will achieve freedom, dignity, and the respect of man.
