Book excerpt: As with Peter, Jesus is asking each of us to step out of the boat into the deep water. He's asking us to do something dangerous-to walk alongside Him-no matter what the risk! He's asking us to trade our comfortable worldly existence, and our personal desires, to instead live recklessly for Him! Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Made Blameless will fortify your faith and empower you to overcome the snares and misdirection of this world. You'll grow fearless in sharing the resurrection miracle of our Risen Savior casting aside the mocking of unbelievers to introduce revival to those who are willing to "hear and understand." Challenged by unique Bible observations and emotion-packed stories, you will bask in the wonder of His miracles and the glory that surrounds His throne! His love will be intensified as you awaken each day joyfully and prayerfully, knowing "He must become greater; I must become less." In doing so, you will forever walk with the grace, love, and strength found only in God's Redeeming Son, Jesus Christ! Made Blameless by His one righteous act!

Book excerpt: Quitting her husband's house and moving back in with her horrible family, Lady Maccon becomes the scandal of the London season in the third book of the NYT bestselling Parasol Protectorate series. Queen Victoria dismisses her from the Shadow Council, and the only person who can explain anything, Lord Akeldama, unexpectedly leaves town. To top it all off, Alexia is attacked by homicidal mechanical ladybugs, indicating, as only ladybugs can, the fact that all of London's vampires are now very much interested in seeing Alexia quite thoroughly dead. While Lord Maccon elects to get progressively more inebriated and Professor Lyall desperately tries to hold the Woolsey werewolf pack together, Alexia flees England for Italy in search of the mysterious Templars. Only they know enough about the preternatural to explain her increasingly inconvenient condition, but they may be worse than the vampires -- and they're armed with pesto. Blameless is the third book of the Parasol Protectorate series: a comedy of manners set in Victorian London, full of werewolves, vampires, dirigibles, and tea-drinking.

A good place to begin is understanding and imitating the character qualifications the Bible lays out for elders. While elders are meant to exemplify these traits, all Christians are to display them. And, with just one exception, each of them is related to our moral character.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the American and British counter-insurgency in Iraq to the bombing of Dresden and the Amristar Massacre in India, civilians are often abused and killed when they are caught in the cross-fire of wars and other conflicts. In Democracy’s Blameless Leaders, Neil Mitchell examines how leaders in democracies manage the blame for the abuse and the killing of civilians, arguing that politicians are likely to react in a self-interested and opportunistic way and seek to deny and evade accountability. Using empirical evidence from well-known cases of abuse and atrocity committed by the security forces of established, liberal democracies, Mitchell shows that self-interested political leaders will attempt to evade accountability for abuse and atrocity, using a range of well-known techniques including denial, delay, diversion, and delegation to pass blame for abuse and atrocities to the lowest plausible level. Mitchell argues that, despite the conventional wisdom that accountability is a ‘central feature’ of democracies, it is only a rare and courageous leader who acts differently, exposing the limits of accountability in democratic societies. As democracies remain embroiled in armed conflicts, and continue to try to come to grips with past atrocities, Democracy’s Blameless Leaders provides a timely analysis of why these events occur, why leaders behave as they do, and how a more accountable system might be developed.

Book excerpt: ALL PRAISE AND HONOR AND GLORY AND POWER AND MIGHT BE TO THE MOST HIGH GOD YHWH AND HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON YASHUA HAMASHIACH /JESUS CHRIST. Ketuvim Ahavah min YHWH (LOVE LETTERS FROM YHWH) was written through the guidance prompting and direction of THE HOLY SPIRIT. It was never my plan to write this book, but after much prayer and discussion the decision was made to consolidate these writings, which are the utterances of YAH that I have received and transcribed over the period of a year. It is my hope in putting these writings together that they may serve to help edify, comfort, encourage and strengthen the body and BRIDE of CHRIST as we wait longingly for HIS return when we are gathered together to meet him in the clouds. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 Before you begin to read these Love Letters I would like to explain exactly how they came into existence. December 31, 2010 New Years Eve I had what seemed to be a dream in which I heard a voice speaking with me. The voice was that of a man which was calm and soothing to my ears. As He spoke it sounded as if He was in a hallway because the voice echoed and was at a distance. He told me that there would be floods of multiple coastal cities January 4th-6th. When I awoke I spoke to my wife about the dream I had and what the voice said. This was a strange occurrence for me, something I had NEVER experienced before. We both kind of shrugged it off and continued our day. I dropped my wife off to work that morning as usual and drove back home. At around 11am my wife called me and exclaimed, with a sense of urgency, fright and bewilderment turn on the news! She had just read a story in the paper about a flood.

The author earnestly desires to share fellowship with coworkers within the faith, those who believe wholeheartedly in the righteousness of Christ, excluding personal interests. Therefore, holiness is a theological and ecclesial issue prior to being a matter of individual piety. Holiness and Ecclesiology in the New Testament offers serious engagement with a variety of New Testament and Qumran documents in order to stimulate churches to imagine anew what it might mean to be a publicly identifiable people who embody God's very character in their particular social setting. Book excerpt: The truth contained in the Power of Perfect is information that gives you the power to change. Many of us have a poor self-image and see ourselves as being less worthy than we really are. We have carried those negative self-images over into our spiritual self-image. We have a negative picture of how we think God sees us. How do we change this negative view of ourselves into a positive spiritual self-image? To change, we must understand fully how God sees us. To see ourselves as God sees us, we must use the Word of God to reshape our self-image and create that new positive picture of ourselves. We can begin to live life as God intended. God did a perfect work in us. Knowing what that perfect work is and believing it will allow us to act on it That is the Power of Perfect.
