Book excerpt: The omnibus collection of the three TAINTED LOVE series novels: TAINTED LOVE This is a dark and brooding gothic mystery featuring a terrified heroine, a morally ambiguous hero, an isolated setting, an eerie house, and layers of old family secrets. The year 1887, Bar Harbor, Maine. Lily Hill's sexual odyessy begins when she returns home to untangle the lies and distortions of her past, a past involving a lurid sex scandal, a suspicious death, and the very angry man she once loved and wronged, Doyle Donovan. Despite annonymous threats warning her to stay away, Lily is resolved to make reparations to Doyle ... in every manner he desires. And Doyle is a man of many shocking desires. BLEEDING LOVE John does more than stargaze through the lens of his telescope -- he voyeuristically watches Lily, his sister by marriage, his brother's wife, the woman he's always coveted. She's his addiction, an obsession he tries to mask with a habit of another kind. Until Molly, the woman he sleeps with but swears he can never love, issues him an ultimatum. Molly does more than pose nude for artists -- she watches out for John, an absinthe addict hell-bent on killing himself. He's her touchstone, a test of her willingness to open herself up to pain. To save John's life, Molly will do anything. Submit to everything. Allow all. No degradation is too much to demand. For John's soul, she'll face a sexual crucible. For John's heart, she'll explore the dark depths of BLEEDING LOVE. BAD LOVE Siam: The half-caste love child of a concubine. A virgin widow desperate to know a man's touch. An innocent lady schooled in the Oriental art of seduction. A sophisticated socialite with secret naughty yearnings. Siam carved a path to economic independence by forfeiting desire to raise six stepdaughters. Her self-sacrifice ends with the death of her wealthy husband. She can now do as she pleases, think only of herself, and she vows never again to be bound by the chains of love. Passion, yes. Lust, of course. Physical fulfillment -- oh, God, please! But not devotion. After embarking on a series of meaningless and unemotional affairs, she plans to marry into her moneyed New York circle. Then she meets a lowly dishwasher in a backwoods Maine hotel. Theo: The youngest and most inhibited of the three Donovan brothers. A romantic bear of a man on the rebound from a broken heart. A bedroom conservative with repressed sexual needs. A latent alpha male who uncovers his dominance.. With Siam. Despite her reluctance to surrender, he demands she accept all of him, even if that all includes...love.

Book excerpt: Years separated them. The past keeps them apart. Can a lifetime of loving bring them together again? Catherine Baring has chased her brother Laurence, and the neighboring Sinclair boys, through childhood into adulthood. She adores all three, but it is the younger Sinclair, Nicholas, who owns her heart. When Nicholas leaves to join the fight against Napoleon, she vows she will wait for him. However, four years is a long time and circumstances change. Faced with the threat of a scandal that will lead to penury and, worse, possible criminal charges, Catherine agrees to do the only thing that might deflect attention from their families-marry the elder Sinclair, Daniel. Daniel is killed before the two are wed, and Nicholas is summoned from the battlefield to assume the role as heir to Woodfield Park. Disillusioned by the atrocities committed on the continent, his brother's death is another blow. He clings to thoughts of Catherine, certain that in her arms he will find the solace he craves. Instead, Nicholas finds betrayal and deceit. Catherine claims to love Nicholas, but she refuses to repent for the betrothal to his brother. Nicholas buries his conflicting feelings, and himself, in the neglected affairs of the estate. But a lifetime of loving is hard to set aside, and when he discovers a series of letters that reveal the truth behind the traitorous engagement, he's not sure he can. As they struggle with loss and longing, one thing becomes clear to both Nicholas and Catherine. Only in confronting the past can they hope to build new dreams for the future. This book was released on 2019-09-17 with total page 1006 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Climbing the Broken Judicial Ladder continues the author’s journey of exploring the heartbreak and loss of first adopting Cordelia with severe reactive attachment disorder (RAD) in Washington state and then of nearly losing her to the draconian and confused child welfare legal complex in Los Angeles. In this third volume of his Denied! Failing Cordelia trilogy, Cambridge climbs the broken California judicial ladder from the California Court of Appeals (Second Appellate District) based in Los Angeles to the California Supreme Court. Cambridge concludes that in appeals relating to dependency cases, the ladder is broken for parents seeking to advocate for themselves and for the true best interests of their children. Policies relating to child welfare are flawed, Cambridge argues, because of the preemptive and prejudicial response to the issues raised during the detention of children. As with his two earlier books, Cambridge explores issues connected with how best to parent his adopted daughter and advocate for her needs in the context of a dependency case. Cordelia’s reactive attachment disorder would surface throughout the judicial struggle as would the author’s own struggles with Asperger syndrome. Each would feed negatively into the overall trauma and drama of the author’s unrelenting quest to reunite his “forever family.” Cambridge believes that dependency proceedings are ill-equipped on many levels to elicit a proper understanding of RAD or of the therapeutic parenting needed to address it. Cambridge believes that adoptive parents of children with special needs need to be understood by more sympathetic social workers and by therapists trained in attachment disorders. Cambridge’s persistent efforts to reunite his “forever family” would leave him increasingly isolated as he climbs the judicial ladder. Based on his experiences, Cambridge explores areas for reform in Los Angeles dependency proceedings and evokes Shakespeare’s King Lear by arguing that social workers need to “see better” and that the Los Angeles Juvenile Dependency Court needs to encourage a broader understanding of the issues raised through more effective legal advocacy from assigned dependency lawyers. Cambridge argues that parents should be allowed to address the court directly. Cambridge also relates how he and his daughter have found many positive and healthy ways to heal in the years since their dependency case ended. Much trauma could have been avoided if those around them had “seen better” and had recognized the value in their dramatic and loving adoption journey.

Unfortunately, it has put her friendship with Liya through its darkest hour. Rise or Fall the unspoken vow between them about their friendship. They stand together in the face of challenges and in celebration of each other, but will Zenias betrayal be the serrated blade that severs their bond of sisterhood? Will Liyas fear of being in her 40s, single with no children and hating it, distance her from God and Zenia? Will their friendship be able to rise from betrayal, or will it fall? Will they rise by trusting Gods timing for a Godmate, or fall due to what feels like His denial? Single and Hating It...Destined and Not Denied breathes hope, sheds light in the darkness, quiets raging heart-storms and strengthens ones faith regardless of its Christian content. Its collection of short stories will expose the wounded heart and through the Pearls of Wisdom bring healing, restoration and wholeness.

High-ranking researchers report that the statements about the functions of brain, heart, intestine and genome are no longer sustainable .The struggle for knowledge about bodily functions begins anew. In this book Dr. Weber goes back to the basics of medicine. Old and modern medical systems are analyzed and freed from annoying accessories. They are checked for similarities and re-evaluated using the latest scientific tools, such as epigenetics and quantum mechanics. The resulting compact picture of medicine answers many questions and forms the core for a new understanding of life, illness and healing. Dr. Weber transfers this old thinking in an easily understandable way into the comprehension of the world today. The causes of many symptoms are decoded and simple therapy options are presented.
