Abre caminho para a construção de novos conceitos e um diálogo interdisciplinar cada vez mais profícuo da LA com outras áreas do conhecimento. E reafirmam que não há como compreender a questão da linguagem sem uma abordagem interseccional. It's as if no one wanted to address the issue openly, even though many suspected its covert presence all along. However, the fact is that the idea of race, along with the countless myths and prejudices that coalesced around it, have always been present in reflections on language throughout all this time. It has already been said that Linguistics embodies the Zeitgeist of the 19th century, notably marked by the spirit of colonialism, a practice rooted in Eurocentrism and the blind belief in the superiority of the white race over the others. As time went by, the idea of the black race became a metaphor to designate all human beings who did not pass the 24-carat whiteness test, a gesture that is echoed when indigenous peoples characterize all outsiders with the label of "whites". As a metaphor, blackness is far from something concretely verifiable in the real world (despite widespread belief to the contrary). Hence the extreme importance of bringing the concept of intersectionality into this discussion to illuminate the multidimensionality of the phenomenon in question, as well as the multiplicity of factors that impinge on the oppression of minorities, fueling inequalities and intensifying injustices.
