This book was released on 2018-04-24 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life's path is often difficult. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life (Light). NO one come to the Father except through me." Life may seem out of control at times and we do not know exactly which path (direction) to take but the closer we walk with God, the clearer we see His guidance. We cannot see the long path ahead but we must TRUST & SEEK God to show us the best path for us to take. Scripture says in Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my Light & my Salvation..." We can walk with Him even when life does not make sense. The Lord encourages us to remember that as we obey His Word, we can depend on His FAITHFUL care for all that lies ahead. We can totally lean upon Him to show us THE WAY as He teaches and instructs us to the right PATH & LIGHT found only through and in Jesus Christ.

This book was released on 2018-07-25 with total page 56 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mabel Collins offers her views on reality and the world around us in this superb collection of three of her most popular works: Light on the Path, Through the Gates of Gold and The Illumined Way. Each of these works offers an inspirational account of both of the tenets of theosophy, and the outlook its members had upon the world. The first part of Light on the Path is comprised of a a series of rules, which briefly cover the behaviors which adherents to spiritualism promoted by the theosophic society should follow. The second part of the book is more of a simple, instructional guide to the study of the occult. Collins discusses how a person should prepare and undertake their personal study of the supernatural; according to Collins, the laws of 'super-nature' govern the Earth, its atmosphere, and the wider universe.

Book Synopsis The House of Light by : Elizabeth James
Download or read book The House of Light written by Elizabeth James and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-08 with total page 698 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story is set in the late seventh and early eighth centuries and focuses on the life of a young Saxon, Alric, born in the year 775 at Wearmouth in Northumbria. He has a twin sister, Hilda. His parents plan for them to take vows. Alric will enter the monastery at Wearmouth, while Hilda will enter the convent to the south, at Whitby. All is well until Wearmouth is the focus of an attack by sea raiders (now known as Vikings) from Scandinavia who appeared out of the morning mists, killing and pillaging without remorse. In Alric's sixteenth year they return to Wearmouth, and Alric is captured. He is taken from his home as a captive bound for a fjord in what is now modern Norway. A severe storm causes the ship to be beached, and the raiders suffer the same fate as their victims, but at the hands of a party of Mesopotamian soldiers. Through the courtesy of the commander, Alric eventually ends up in Baghdad, where Harun al-Rashid (Aaron the Just) is the Caliph and at the time the tales of A Thousand and One Arabian Nights were being told by the Caliph's wife, Scheherazade. Alric is apprenticed to an alchemist with medical knowledge, where his role is to pursue science and develop drugs and other chemicals that help the Caliph's cause. During this time, Alric becomes a valuable member of the Caliph's inner circle and becomes familiar with the inner workings of the House of Light, comprising the royal palace and the Great Library. As a result of his work, he is able to rise from the position of captive to apprentice to a status in which he is able to make contributions to science and medicine. However, he becomes embroiled in the politics of the palace and a plot to assassinate the Caliph. Coupled with this, he discovers a cuneiform tablet that had once been the prized possession of King Nebuchadnezzar and gives him an insight into chemical and medical science. This tablet also contains a prophecy that Alric must fulfill.
