En la construcción de este manual se han unido diferentes profesionales, mayoritariamente enfermeras y enfermeros, procedentes de distintos ámbitos experienciales y es, desde su experiencia, donde se plantean áreas de interés que van desde la revisión de un marco reflexivo para el aprendizaje en el ejercicio del liderazgo hasta el relato que comparte lo vivido como señal de conocimiento. Se recogen los elementos que van a marcar el futuro de la práctica y del ejercicio del liderazgo enfermero del siglo XXI y que van desde enmarcar el dónde nos encontramos, sabiendo de dónde venimos con una reflexión sobre el contexto actual, el papel de las enfermeras y enfermeros y su potencial de futuro, continuando, por un lado los valores vigentes en la práctica en el siglo XXI que están en nuestra razón de ser y la necesidad de centrar los cuidados en organizaciones humanizadas, donde los líderes son capaces de responder a lo que las personas necesitan, pasando por el ámbito de las competencias para prestar cuidados de calidad, líneas que han de ser marcadas por los líderes. Este libro pretende llenar un hueco en la práctica del liderazgo enfermero que haga reflexionar a los líderes sobre su nuevo camino mirando al futuro. Esperamos que este texto sirva a los líderes enfermeros del siglo XXI y cumpla con el encargo de apoyar el liderazgo enfermero del NURSING NOW.
