Download or read book Il libro di matematica: volume 1 written by Simone Malacrida and published by Simone Malacrida. This book was released on 2016-05-04 with total page 668 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Matematica: insegnamento e computer algebra by : Michele Impedovo
Download or read book Matematica: insegnamento e computer algebra written by Michele Impedovo and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2004-03-29 with total page 1200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Euclid in China written by Engelfriet and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2021-11-01 with total page 502 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As part of the Jesuits' programme of introduction to European culture, in 1607 the Elements of Euclid (± 300 BC) were translated for the first time into Chinese. The translation of this epoch-making ancient Greek textbook on deductive geometry meant a confrontation of contemporary Chinese and European cultures. Part I of Peter Engelfriet's work deals mainly with the European and Chinese backgrounds, part II with linguistic and textual matters. In part III the manner in which learned Chinese tried to integrate this new knowledge into their own, Chinese, mathematical and cultural traditions comes to the fore. This fascinating work explores in depth and at various levels the circumstances and mechanisms that shaped the transmission of a key work of science from one language and cultural context onto another. Consequently it offers often surprising insights into the ways of intercultural exchange and misunderstandings.

Book Synopsis Applied semigroups in locally convex spaces by : Aldo Belleni-Morante
Download or read book Applied semigroups in locally convex spaces written by Aldo Belleni-Morante and published by Altralinea Edizioni . This book was released on 2018-10-30 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aldo Belleni-Morante started to write this book in February 2008 giving two provisional titles: Semigroups and Evaluation Equations in Locally Convex Spaces: An Introduction or Applied Semigroups in Locally Convex Spaces and, he seemed on hurry for finishing it. He decided to share his scientific viewpoint with the Scottish colleagues Prof. Adam C. McBride (AMB) and Dr Wilson Lamb (WL) from the Strathclyde University. He fully desired this collaboration as a consequence of some previous scientific works undertaken since 2006 at the Strathclyde University along his appointment as Permanent Visiting Professor. He also considered the very early conception of this book since 2005 when he spent his latest sabbatical year in Glasgow and further in 2007 when Adam McBride came to Florence to work on this. But not much work was done at that time. To this end, Aldo started happily on his own research work to write the book and he completed his first part in 2008. Unfortunately, the first health problems arisen and this book stayed unfinished.
