Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has come through a great deal of pain and suffering. I had previously moved my membership from another congregation years earlier, and I became angry with the Lord. For one year, I did not attend any formal worship service; I began working with a outreach program, teaching and preaching at nursing homes here in Montgomery, Alabama, and during that time, I realized that I had more to offer God, and I slowly began to reconsider returning to a formal worship service. I had to stand and then confess my sins of not doing what I knew God wanted me to be doing, so a close brother of mine told me of a congregation that needed a Sunday school teacher. So I told my brother, "Okay, let's make this happen." And that is when I became a member of the Northpointe Church of Christ.

Book excerpt: Every life lived to the fullest is an adventure. It is also a lesson. Come along on a trip to some of the world's most exotic locales with one of the world's preeminent adventure tour guides as he takes you just beyond your comfort zone in Inspired. Here are ten stories about pushing yourself to the limit - growing, learning, giving, meditating, striving, being better, being your best. These are stories not just of adventure, but of life. What does it feel like to summit Mt. Everest? To crawl off a mountain on your hands and knees, blinded by a blizzard? To be held captive for days in a storage container? To quit your job to follow your dreams - only to find yourself broke and living in a tent in the woods? To then start first your own business, and then a nonprofit in order to give back? Learn what the mountains have to teach you about life, and what one life can teach you about your own. Inspired reminds us that a life lived to the fullest is as discomfiting as it is rewarding, and that we are all together on this adventure we call life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A compilation of quotations and proverbs from the most enlightened, intelligent, and forward thinkers in human history regarding the most important aspects of life. Compiled and arranged to give the reader a clear direction in their life based on their internal needs, wants, and desires. While no one on Earth is special, everyone is unique. Nobody past, present, or future has gone through or has had the same thoughts and experiences as you, nor will they in the future. As a result, you see the world in a completely unique way. Studying these volumes will guide your mind's eye in distinguishing the most significant passages to you and your being as well as reaffirming or contradicting what you already know and believe, by the wisest people throughout history. Out of the thousands of quotes and proverbs within these volumes, your personality will subconsciously pick out the most relevant quotes and proverbs to you and you alone. It would be a mistake to concentrate on only one topic because all the subjects are connected to aid you in reaching your own epiphany. Many of the most profound quotes and proverbs are recorded under various topics throughout the book. Though you may only be interested in "Success & Failure," many of the quotes and proverbs attributed to success can also be found under "Leadership," "Attitude," or even "Life, Purpose, & Growth," for example. The aim of this huge collection of human wisdom is enlightenment: to assist the readers in realizing what is truly important in life, as well as to find their true self; to shatter the illusions that everyone builds for themselves through false assumptions and stereotypes; to find their true inner being; to find purpose; and, most importantly, to discover what makes them and them alone happy. To receive the full benefit of these volumes and to fully immerse yourself in self-discovery, you must commit to studying the entire collection. If you only want to scratch the surface of what is important in life, then limit yourself to a single volume. But if you want to master your true purpose, then study all four volumes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A man of destiny, Moses was born to lead a nation through impossible situations, despite not starting his primary mission for eighty years. Leaders and leadership are found everywhere, past and present. There are great examples everywhere you look, if you know what to look for. There are differences as well as commonalities in all leaders that we study. Moses is a phenomenal example to learn from. He is one of the most-mentioned characters in the Old and New Testaments. God held Moses in the highest regard, over all other prophets, and he was the only prophet to speak to God face-to-face. Born in the most inauspicious of environments, under a death warrant by Pharaoh, raised as an Egyptian for his first forty years. Then Moses escaped to the furnace of the Midian wilderness where I believe his leadership, character, and humility were honed for his God-given mission that would last the rest of his lifetime. His final forty years was as unquestioned leader of the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage to the precipice of the promised land. Studying the inspired leadership lessons of a man who lived one hundred and twenty years is as formidable as it is thrilling. This journey will be enlightening, exciting, and energizing.
