Tout au contraire, c'est dans une perspective pragmatique que des spécialistes de renommée internationale cherchent ici à inscrire une réflexion sur les dynamiques et les processus de construction des figures de compromis. Mohamed Nachi est juriste, anthropologue et sociologue. Après avoir enseigné à l'Université catholique de Louvain et à l'Université de Sfax, il est à présent professeur de sociologie à l'Institut des sciences humaines et sociales de l'Université de Liège. Docteur en sociologie de l'EHESS, il est depuis 1992 membre du Groupe de sociologie politique et morale (CNRS-EHESS) et depuis 2006 membre du Laboratoire Diraset. Etudes maghrébines (Tunisie). Ses travaux ont d'abord concerné les théories de la justice en contextes occidental et islamique. Aujourd'hui, ils portent sur le développement d'une sociologie pragmatique de la justice, de la critique sociale et des espaces publics.

Through a narrative sequence in which ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib is the hero, several intriguing episodes follow one another in a causal manner and lead to the birth of a future prophet. Articulated with a historical anthropology, the narrative analysis reveals that the Sīra is the heir to the royal literature of the ancient Near East. Using motifs and themes from the culture of the Fertile Crescent, the Sīra makes ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib a royal figure in the service of legitimising the Abbasid dynasty, heir par excellence to Ishmael and restorer of the Abrahamic covenant. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This handbook is a practical tool for legal professionals from Council of Europe member states who wish to strengthen their skills in applying the European Convention on Human Rights and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in their daily work.
