La prévention de ces accidents repose sur une stratégie réglementaire, informative et éducative. La généralisation de l'apprentissage des gestes de premiers secours pourrait permettre une baisse de la mortalité, qui a atteint un plateau ces dix dernières années. Les parents sont au cœur du dispositif de prévention et de plus en plus impliqués de façon active dans les plans de prévention. Nous avons voulu, avec ce travail, évaluer l'intérêt des parents d'enfants de moins de 10 ans, à une formation aux gestes de premier secours spécifique aux accidents domestiques. Les objectifs secondaires étaient de connaître leur niveau d'information et de déterminer si la survenue d'un accident domestique modifiait leur comportement. Méthode : nous avons réalisé cette étude entre janvier et juin 2018 au sein d'un cabinet de médecine générale ainsi qu'aux urgences pédiatriques du Centre Hospitalier de Valenciennes. Les parents étaient interrogés à l'aide d'un questionnaire, distribué à l'occasion d'une consultation. Tous les parents d'enfant(s) de moins de 10 ans ont été inclus. Résultats : nous avons inclus 120 questionnaires. 75 % des parents interrogés pensaient qu'une formation spécifique sur la prévention des accidents domestiques et les gestes d'urgence permettrait de mieux appréhender ce risque. Ils en attendaient surtout une meilleure gestion de l'accident, des conseils à donner à leur(s) enfant(s) et une diminution du risque d'accident. 66 % des parents s'estimaient suffisamment informés sur le risque domestique. 73 % des parents avaient déclaré avoir été confrontés à au moins un accident domestique, sans qu'il n'y ait d'impact significatif sur l'intérêt d'une formation. Conclusion : les parents sont sensibilisés au risque domestique et sont en forte demande de formation. Nous proposons, dans cette étude, un modèle théorique qui s'appuierait sur le réseau de PMI, avec une prise en charge financière à évaluer, afin de généraliser ces pratiques de prévention à tous les parents.

In a climate that tends to privilege crisis over critique, Debarati Sanyal argues that it is urgent to rethink literary experience in terms that recall its contestatory potential. Examining Baudelaire's poems afresh, she shifts the focus of critical attention toward an account of modernism as an active engagement with violence, specifically the violence of history in nineteenth-century France. Sanyal analyzes a literary current that uses the traditional hallmarks of modernism—irony, intertextuality, self-reflexivity, and formalism—to challenge the historical violence of modernity. Baudelaire and the committed ironists writing in his wake teach us how to read and resist the violence of history, and thereby to challenge the melancholy tenor of our contemporary "wound culture." In a series of provocative readings, Sanyal presents Baudelaire's poetry as an aesthetic form that contests historical violence through rhetorical strategies of complicity, counterviolence, and critique.
