Le repas, moment privilégié de socialisation qui réunit la famille autour d'échanges dyadiques et polyadiques, semble important pour construire des représentations communicationnelles et relationnelles. Nous cherchons à savoir si l'enfant sourd, de par son atteinte sensorielle, présente des difficultés à accéder au langage qui lui est ou non adressé, et quels signes le montrent. Pour cela, nous analysons les interactions entre les membres de quatre familles filmées durant un repas (trois familles dont les enfants, âgés de 2 ans et demi à 6 ans et demi, présentent des surdités sévères à profondes, et une famille normo-entendante), intégrant différents modes de communication (l'oral seul, la LSF, l'oral et la LSF, et le français signé). Les résultats obtenus mettent en évidence un accès limité aux échanges n'incluant pas l'enfant sourd, contrairement au langage qui lui est adressé. Des stratégies facilitatrices utilisées par les membres de la famille et à l'inverse, des obstacles à la participation de l'enfant sourd aux conversations ont aussi été relevés. Suite à ces résultats, nous envisageons des pistes complémentaires d'accompagnement familial destinées aux orthophonistes, afin d'intégrer au mieux l'enfant sourd dans la communication et dans son environnement de vie.

Pour toutes ces raisons, les familles doivent être aidées très tôt afin de surmonter leur douleur. La guidance parentale s'installe ainsi au sein d'une équipe pluridisciplinaire. Afin d'étudier les fonctions de communication, nous avons utilisé un protocole d'analyse qui s'appuie sur une approche pragmatique du langage : elle vise à considérer l'enfant et sa mère dans une situation donnée et à étudier les moyens qu'ils mettent en oeuvre pour la réaliser. Ainsi, nous avons filmé quatre dyades d'enfants sourds avec leur mère entendante. Nous avons souligné leur comportement de communication et nous avons réfléchi à l'orientation à donner à la guidance parentale.

Les résultats obtenus ont été comparés et analysés. Ainsi, on se rend compte que l'enfant sourd comme l'enfant entendant suivent les mêmes étapes de développement du langage oral, mais le rythme n'est pas le même : l'enfant sourd démarre son langage oral plus tardivement que l'enfant entendant, mais son rythme est plus rapide grâce à l'apport de la prise en charge spécifique et globale.

La surdité pourrait engendrer des difficultés à développer ces capacités. Cependant, ces deux domaines nécessitant des conditions d'évaluation écologiques, ils sont encore peu explorés. Par ailleurs, l'hypothèse OPERA postule que la musique et le langage partagent des caractéristiques et des processus de traitements communs et que la pratique musicale remplit les conditions nécessaires à un effet de transfert des compétences musicales vers les compétences langagières. Selon la Dynamic Attending Theory, le rythme serait l'élément musical clé qui permettrait d'améliorer le traitement du langage grâce au développement de capacités de prédiction. Le but de notre étude était de créer une tâche conversationnelle permettant de tester les capacités conversationnelles des enfants malentendants (ME) pour les comparer à celles d'un groupe d'enfants normo-entendants (NE). De plus, elle avait pour visée de tester l'effet d'un entraînement rythmique versus un entraînement contrôle tonal sur ces capacités. Nos hypothèses étaient d'une part que les performances conversationnelles des enfants ME seraient moins élevées que celles des enfants NE et d'autre part que la convergence entre l'adulte et les enfants ME serait améliorée par l'entraînement rythmique. Le paradigme expérimental mis en place est une situation de conversation semi-dirigée entre un enfant et un adulte à l'aide d'un support - une MapTask - créée dans le but d'induire différents types d'interactions verbales. Cette tâche écologique a été testée auprès d'enfants NE âgés de 5 à 9 ans puis auprès d'enfants ME appariés en âge, à la suite d'un entraînement rythmique et tonal de 30 minutes. Les paramètres conversationnels étudiés montrent peu de différence entre enfants ME et NE et un effet mesuré de la stimulation rythmique. La contrainte temporelle n'a pas permis d'effectuer des analyses à visée pragmatique.

The meaning of abstract concepts is grounded in concrete experiences. This book is the first edited volume to explore the impact of the embodied cognition thesis on the scientific study of film. A team of scholars analyse the main aspects of film (narrative, style, music, sound, time, the viewer, emotion, perception, ethics, the frame, etc.) from an embodied perspective. Book excerpt: Based on a corpus of Old Spanish texts, the discourse traditions of counselling are analysed within the framework of diachronic corpus pragmatics and dialogue analysis. On a methodological level, the study distinguishes three types of pragmatics and offers a clear-cut distinction between language change and cultural changes in the realm of discourse traditions. In order to clearly define the different interaction patterns in these dialogues, the qualitative approach of traditional philology is combined with quantitative methods that extract lexical clusters which are typical of counselling dia.
