Revenant sur l'histoire fascinante des antibiotiques, analysant les enjeux de leur production, ils explorent les solutions envisageables. Et nous rappellent au passage que dans un corps humain en pleine santé, il y a plus de bactéries que de cellules... Antoine Andremont est Professeur à la faculté de médecine de l'Université de Paris 7. Il dirige le laboratoire de bactériologie médicale de l'hôpital Bichat Claude-Bernard. Il se consacre depuis 25 ans à l'étude des bactéries responsables des infections humaines. Il a fait partie des premiers groupes de chercheurs qui nous ont alerté sur les risques des antibiotiques. Michel Tibon-Cornillot est anthropologue à l'École des Hautes Études en Sciences sociales (EHESS). Docteur d'Etat en philosophie, il a travaillé à l'Institut Pasteur dans un laboratoire de génétique moléculaire. Il est l'auteur d'un ouvrage intitulé Les corps transfigurés (éditions Le Seuil, Prix Psyché). Il inscrit sa recherche à l'intersection de la philosophie et de la biologie, démontrant que la question centrale des techniques contemporaines n'est pas celle de leur régulation mais celle de leur déferlement incontrôlé.
