Beaucoup d'entreprises ont l'esprit trop étroit pour autoriser l'expérimentation et l'innovation. Les managers sont freinés par des politiques qui les empêchent de prendre part au processus de prise de décisions. Les écoles de gestion produisent de jeunes diplômés MBA qui manient habilement les outils de gestion, mais qui ignorent tout de l'art du management. Le Prix de l'excellence remet en question la prépondérance du " rationalisme " enseigné par les écoles de gestion, mais ne défend pas non plus de façon inconditionnelle les " relations humaines ". La réponse se trouve entre ces deux extrêmes. Ce livre connaît un succès fulgurant aux Etats-Unis où il est best-seller depuis plusieurs mois et s'est déjà vendu à près de 1 000 000 d'exemplaires.

La plupart des pays de bassin du Congo sont activement engagés dans un processus de préparation des cadres et stratégies-cadre capable de créer des incitations à « réduire les émissions dues à la déforestation et à la dégradation des forêts », encourageant « la conservation et la gestion durable des forêts ainsi que l’amélioration de la séquestration du carbone par les forêts » (REDD+). Ils travaillent ainsi d’ores-et-déjà à renforcer leur capacité de suivi des émissions liées aux forêts, à améliorer la gouvernance des forêts, à promouvoir le développement et à réduire la pauvreté, tout en protégeant les ressources naturelles de la région. Un exercice de deux ans visant à analyser et comprendre en profondeur la dynamique de la déforestation dans le bassin du Congo est résumé dans le présent rapport, qui s’organise comme suit : Le chapitre 1 donne une vue d’ensemble des forêts du bassin du Congo • Le chapitre 2 présente la dynamique de la déforestation et résume les résultats d’une analyse secteur par secteur des grands facteurs de déforestation dans le bassin du Congo. • Le chapitre 3 fournit une actualisation de l’état des négociations REDD+ dans le cadre de la CCNUCC et des implications pour les pays du bassin du Congo.

The author evinces that over time different types of publishers dominated, both within the original publishing space as in the foreign literary field, contingent on their specific mission—be it commercial, ideological or educational—as well as on socioeconomic and political circumstances. The study addresses the influence of the editorial paratextual framing—pandering to specific Western readerships—the potential interventionist function of the translator, and the consecrating mechanisms of literary and translation awards affecting both gender and minority representation. Drawing on the work by key sociologists and translation theorists, the author uses an innovative interdisciplinary methodology to analyze the corpus narratives.
