Be it furthvr enacted, That the Trustees of the University he and they are hereby instructed to dispose em?nfg the same as they may think best, and with the proceeds to fififsh'n'l establish, in addition to the course of instruction, prescribed 535; 08 5 1' in the regular curriculum of the University, two professor ships, in which the leading object shall be, without exclud ing other scientific and classical studies, and including Military Tactics, to teach such branches of learning as are related to Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts, in such manner as the General Assembly may prescribe, in order to promote the liberal and practical education of the indus trial classes 1n the several pursuits and professions in life.
