Conjuntamente hemos dirigido unos Comentarios a la Ley de impulso para la sostenibilidad del territorio de Andalucía y su Reglamento General, habiendo dado continuidad a las dos ediciones de los comentarios al articulado de la hoy derogada Ley 7/2002, de 17 de diciembre, de Ordenación Urbanística de Andalucía y abarcando ahora a la ordenación territorial que la nueva Ley incorpora en un único texto. -- Dentro de nuestras distintas perspectivas, ha existido un nexo común, cual es la concepción de un urbanismo sostenible (sustentable o perdurable) respetuoso con el medio ambiente, nos hemos mostrado partidarios del crecimiento necesario, preciso, idóneo y ordenado y defensores de la conservación, modernización y revitalización funcional de la ciudad existente. -- Por ello, la promulgación de una ley (primero) y de su reglamento, que tiene como objetivo principal y como finalidad esencial el desarrollo sostenible, que propugna un crecimiento organizado y adecuado con deferencia al medio ambiente, merecía una valoración inicial favorable y nos llevó a la idea de estudiar de manera sistemática y articulada, la Ley 7/2021, de 1 de diciembre, de impulso para la sostenibilidad del territorio de Andalucía (LISTA) y su Reglamento (Decreto 550/2022, de 29 de noviembre, en adelante RGLISTA) con el concurso de profesionales prestigiosos a nivel nacional, provenientes de todos los sectores e instituciones públicas y privadas relacionadas con la ordenación del territorio y el urbanismo. La recepción de esta iniciativa fue acogida de una manera claramente positiva, por lo que nuestro agradecimiento a todos los coautores de este libro es inmenso. The volume begins by explaining the concept of gender mainstreaming in relation to its origins in the 'second wave' of the women's movement and critiques of planning, architecture, transport planning and other built environment disciplines. It then provides a brief history of how gender mainstreaming was incorporated into European law, before focussing on the theoretical issues and questions that surround the concept of gender mainstreaming as they relate to urban space and the planning of cities and regions, including a discussion of the persistence of inequalities between the sexes in their access to urban space and services. In particular, the division between waged and unwaged work and its impact on the social construction of gender and of the physical built environment is considered.
