En el segundo capítulo la exposición se centra ya exclusivamente en las escalas típo-Likert. La secuencia de contenidos reproduce el proceso completo de construcción, desde las fases iniciales de elaboración, redacción y análisis de items hasta el análisis de fiabilidad y de validez de la escala. Cada fase del proceso se ejemplifica e ilustra, y aquéllas que incorporan como parte sustancial el análisis estadístico de datos van acompañadas de una sección sobre cómo utilizar el programa SPSS con este fin.
