Su ensayo "Neoliberalismo, Familia y Ruptura de la Pareja", ha servido por años como texto de consulta para profesionales que se especializan en Derecho de Familia colombiano. A comienzos del 2003, llegó a Miami con su esposa y un hijo menor. Allí realizó estudios de Arte Dramático, en "Prometeo", Miami Dade Community College.
