In the High Kings stead Abador is under the rule of his new chief consul, Nikobar. But Nikobar is a Symian sorcerer who is in league with the Galyaks, and has arranged for Princess Rhiana to be abducted in order to bring about a war between Kalimars two strongest kingdoms. For once Abador and Varnia have all but destroyed each other, the Galyak Warlord Salakhan will be free to launch an invasion. Nikobar has no intention of allowing a simple farm boy to ruin his carefullylaid plans and sends assassins to murder Lucian, but they are foiled in the attempt by Sir Amicob of the legendary Knights Xemplar. This book was released on 2018-10-04 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life itself can be like riding a roller coaster. It’s full of ups and downs, high and low points. Using the lyrics of an old gospel song by Linda Ronstadt, “Life is like a mountain railway with an engineer that’s brave. We must make this run successful from the cradle to the grave,” one of the greatest challenges we all face to navigate life’s journey is developing healthy, godly relationships. One of our greatest failures in developing healthy relationships is well described by a story sharer in this book. She compares a bad or toxic relationship with the plight of sin. “Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.” Such can be said about a bad or toxic relationship. In Dr. McGruder’s book Cutting Your Losses from a Bad or Toxic Relationship, he warns those who discover themselves in such a relationship and fail to heed warnings and escape from harm’s way. Remaining in such a relationship can waste a significant portion of your life’s journey, and the result can tally up to emotional, mental, psychological, and spiritual gross costs. However, this book will provide insight on how to survive and thrive it all!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the acclaimed author of Blue, a beautifully illustrated history of yellow from antiquity to the present In this richly illustrated book, Michel Pastoureau—a renowned authority on the history of color and the author of celebrated volumes on blue, black, green, and red—now traces the visual, social, and cultural history of yellow. Focusing on European societies, with comparisons from East Asia, India, Africa, and South America, Yellow tells the intriguing story of the color’s evolving place in art, religion, fashion, literature, and science. In Europe today, yellow is a discreet color, little present in everyday life and rarely carrying great symbolism. This has not always been the case. In antiquity, yellow was almost sacred, a symbol of light, warmth, and prosperity. It became highly ambivalent in medieval Europe: greenish yellow came to signify demonic sulfur and bile, the color of forgers, lawless knights, Judas, and Lucifer—while warm yellow recalled honey and gold, serving as a sign of pleasure and abundance. In Asia, yellow has generally had a positive meaning. In ancient China, yellow clothing was reserved for the emperor, while in India the color is associated with happiness. Above all, yellow is the color of Buddhism, whose temple doors are marked with it. Throughout, Pastoureau illuminates the history of yellow with a wealth of captivating images. With its striking design and compelling text, Yellow is a feast for the eye and mind.

Book excerpt: The Red Knight is the product of 25 years of meticulous research. It is, arguably, the most comprehensive account ever written about the Canadian Air Force’s legendary solo jet-aerobatics performer. An important part of Canadian aviation history, the Red Knight is third in longevity and total number of performances among RCAF display teams. In recognition of the program’s importance, Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame honoured the Red Knight with its Belt of Orion Award for Excellence in 2020 and the Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative coin in 2022. The Red Knight chronicles the history of the program, from its origins in 1957 to its cancellation in 1970. Everyone who has enjoyed watching the precision, grace and beauty of aerobatic flight will enjoy this insight into the “behind the scenes” aspect of aerial displays. A fine addition to any aviation reference library, The Red Knight will be of particular interest to anyone who remembers the program or saw a performance of this uniquely Canadian display. Printed in colour, The Red Knight - Second Edition is illustrated with many rare photographs never published before. The book is further enhanced by specially commissioned works of art from noted Canadian Aviation Artist, Don Connolly. Details of the various Red Knight paint schemes are provided through aircraft profiles, also specifically created for this publication. Together, this unique pictorial collection vividly portrays the legacy of the Red Knight. https://www.facebook.com/rcafredknight www.johncharlescorrigan.com "It's hard to imagine a more comprehensive look at the Red Knight program--and at aerobatics in general." — Kirkus Reviews

All is not yet lost, however. If Lucian can unite the fabled Xavier Knights, together they might still snatch Princess Rhiana from the Galyaks and in turn, thwart Nikobar’s fiendish plans.
