Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fifteen years after he tormented fellow students at Catahoula Bayou School, Junior Guidry is broke, drunk, one-legged, and living in a wreck of a trailer on the edge of a snake-infested swamp. He's survived an oil-rig accident that would've killed most men but, with the help of a good lawyer, made him rich instead. But he's squandered his fortune on drink, blackjack, womanizing, and brawling, leaving a wake of wrecked cars and friendships, not to mention lost or stolen wooden legs. Then the mysterious Iris Mary Parfait enters his life. She's on the run from a tragic childhood and a bad, bad man. When news reaches Junior that a bar owner with Mob connections has posted a $100,000 bounty on Iris's head because she knows too much about him, Junior realizes he could regain his fortune—but at what cost? Narrated in Junior's unvarnished voice, Junior's Leg takes the reader on a singular journey through the mind of a troubled man. It is at turns unsettling, ribald, sexy, and poignant—a bold stroke of storytelling that ultimately plumbs the possibilities of love and redemption, even for as unlikely a candidate as Junior.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was born in July of 1925. During my growing up days a popular expression for some one who looked like they had been very sick was, You look like you have one foot in the grave! Of course this was a metaphor back then. It wasnt until after World War II that it became a reality for me. I had not heard this expression for some time. Then in the spring of 1945 I arrived on the amputee ward at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I had lost my right leg above the knee due to wounds received during the defense of Bastogne, Belgium during the later stages of WW II. On my first experience of the doctors morning rounds to check out his patients, I heard this at the first bed the doctor stopped at. He asked, How are you feeling? The patient answered, Not too bad considering I have one foot in the grave! This had become the standard reply by the patients on Ward 10-A. When the doctor and his assistants stopped in front of my bed, I stuck with tradition and answered, Not bad considering I have one foot in the grave! Now the expression had a double meaning for me and my fellow amputee patients at the hospital.

Book excerpt: Dracula’s great-great-great-grandson was born in California, in a family of Romanian immigrants. He is 14 years old, is rich, handsome, but... special. In addition, he wants to spend his holiday on his ancestors’ lands. What did he find out when he came closer to Dracula's castle? On a thousand spikes that you will not guess! Transylvania, Dracula, facebook, twitter, Fomila, Sfarma Piatra and Justin Bieber, in a totally crazy story! Here is the next global blockbuster! Read the book, don’t wait anymore for the movie! (Audia Publishers) Until now, I’ve had a normal childhood. Fine... If normal means having three nannies, a 7,000 square meter villa, a pool, a butler, a limo, private tutors... I read weird things, one of them would be that my dad is from Romania, that he impaled people and drank their blood and other horrible things like these... Sometimes, I search “Dracula” and I have to admit that people’s imagination is disappointing. I mean sharp ears, hair full of a lot of gel, sharp teeth... really? ...Tomorrow, I’m going to Romania, for a holiday in Transylvania, where father says that my special, extra-human powers will be activated. Yeah, some beautiful 14-year anniversary, what can I say!
