Mich Interessiert, was genau eigentlich Gewalt ist und welche Ursachen es hat, dass sich Menschen im jungen Alter dazu verleiten lassen Gewalt anzuwenden, kriminell zu werden und Gewaltkarrieren einzuschlagen. Es gibt viele Theorien, die versuchen die Gewaltentstehung und die Gewaltentwicklung zu erklären. Da es jedoch eine große Anzahl an ausschlaggebenden Faktoren gibt, welche sich auf das Problem der Gewaltentstehung beziehen, möchte ich mich mit der an der häufigsten aufgegriffenen Theorie des Elternhauses auseinandersetzen. Darüber hinaus möchte ich anhand der Polizeilichen Kriminalstatistik (PKS) alle der Polizei bekannt gewordenen Straftaten von Jugendlichen aufbringen, um festzustellen, inwieweit die Jugendkriminalität in Deutschland steigt und wie hoch das Ausmaß dieser ist. Zudem werde ich mich mit der Entstehung und Entwicklung von jugendlichen Gewaltkarrieren beschäftigen und dabei ebenfalls herausfinden, was Gewaltkarrieren sind und wie sich diese von alltäglichen Berufskarrieren unterscheiden.

Diese sehr defizitäre Sichtweise des elterlichen Einflusses auf die Entwicklung von Kindern und Jugendlichen kann natürlich nicht ohne Weiteres stehengelassen werden. Doch was will dieses Zitat eigentlich genau ausdrücken? Das Elternhaus, welches in jederlei Hinblick einen großen Einfluss auf Entwicklungsverläufe von Kindern und Jugendlichen ausübt, gerät genau aus diesem Grund, immer wieder in den Fokus. Hierbei stellt sich die Frage, wodurch Eltern einen günstigen und somit förderlichen Einfluss auf ihre Kinder haben und durch welche Verhaltensweisen sie ihren Kindern eher schaden. Jugendgewalt dringt immer wieder durch die skandalöse Darstellung der Medien in das subjektive Bewusstsein vieler Menschen. Bei der Frage nach den Ursachen von Jugendgewalt oder möglichen Bedingungen, welche diese begünstigen, gerät immer häufiger das Elternhaus in den Fokus der Betrachtungen. Doch was genau trägt das Elternhaus zur Entstehung jugendlicher Gewalt bei? Die vorliegende Arbeit soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten, den Einfluss, welchen das Elternhaus bei der Entstehung von Jugendgewalt haben kann, besser nachvollziehen zu können. Hierbei werden jedoch nicht nur risikofördernde Merkmale des Elternhauses betrachtet, sondern ebenso risikomildernde Einflüsse, welche das Elternhaus hierzu leisten kann. Zunächst wird dabei das Phänomen der Jugendgewalt gezielt in den Blick genommen. Hierbei werden allgemein gültige Erklärungsansätze, statistische Daten, aber auch komorbide Verhaltensauffälligkeiten gewalttätig gewordener Jugendlicher betrachtet. Anschließend wird das Elternhaus gezielt in den Blick genommen. Hierbei werden zunächst elternbezogene Risikofaktoren betrachtet. Anschließend wird die andere Seite der elterlichen Prägung, durch die Betrachtung relevanter Schutzfaktoren beschrieben. Im fünften Kapitel folgt die Auswertung dreier Interviews, in denen Jugendliche etwas über ihre Erfahrung mit Gewalt und der Rolle, die ihr Elternhaus diesbezüglich hat, berichten. Abschließend folgt ein Blick auf mögliche Präventions- und Interventionsmaßnahmen, welche in der schulischen Praxis berücksichtigt werden sollten.

Die Medien reagieren auf solche Vorfälle immer sehr schnell mit verschiedenen Begründungen und Ursachen und stilisieren den Skandal in der Öffentlichkeit hoch. Doch hinter den ganzen gewalttätigen Angriffen und Ausbrüchen der Jugendlichen stecken immer tiefere Ursachen als nur ein Faktor. Auf den folgenden Seiten werden Jugendkriminalität und ihre Ursachen sowie Bekämpfungsmaßnahmen und Lösungsvorschläge erläutert. Anhand verschiedener Statistiken lässt sich die Entwicklung der Jugendkriminalität aufzeigen. Es wird deutlich, wie viele Ursachen wirklich hinter Jugendkriminalität stecken und was Jugendliche zu solchen Taten bringt.
