They were not able to leave legally, so they crossed the Iron Curtain illegally. They spent some time in Italian refugee camps in very poor conditions. At last, they were able to immigrate to the United States where they had to face an even harder life in the beginning. They were fighting for their lives moving through three states. After four years, they gave up and moved back to the still communist Hungary. The Hungarian government betrayed them in spite of the general amnesty. They were not able to leave this country again legally; they escaped to Yugoslavia using a small boat at the border river. They traveled through the country to reach the Italian border. Joe was afraid to cross the border through the dense forest, because Mary was pregnant. They tried to cross the border with their American documents, but it failed. They obtained an entry visa at the nearest Italian Consulate and fled to Italy again. They traveled to Milan where they were able to get entry visas to Switzerland. Joe called his old time friend in Switzerland asking for his help. They arrived in Zurich where his friend helping them. They were afraid of return to the United States, because of Mary’s condition. They spent some time in a refugee home where Chris, their son, was born. After another refugee camp close to Zurich, Joe found a job and they moved into a nice apartment. A local Swiss family helped them and they became very good friends. Later, Joe got sick. The burden that he was carrying on his shoulders for years caused problems, but with professional help, he was able to get out of trouble. He started a part-time job in a gift shop. Later Mary also got a job and little Chris went to daycare. After years, staying in Switzerland with any settlement status, Joe and Mary decided to move on. Mary’s girlfriend helped them to get into Canada, but they had to show up $10,000, which was not easy to accumulate. When they obtained the money, they were able to fly to Canada. They settled down in Toronto. Joe was lucky because he got an engineering job soon and he was able to support his family. Joe got sick again and could not walk for a while, but with excellent treatment and positive thinking, he was able to overcome his problem. He and his wife graduated as interior designers and started a new business. After some good years, the bad years came. Due to the recession, Joe and Mary lost their business. Joe overcame it again when he started a repair business beginning with churches. At last, he was doing very well. He took a business trip to his native Hungary where he had so much fear and bad dreams of not being able to get out. Fortunately, nothing-went wrong and he completed his business trip. He finally arrived to Canada and almost kissed the soil with joy. His journey was ending, because he arrived home in the freedom.

Book excerpt: In the tradition of The Celestine Prophecy comes the first book in a gripping post-apocalyptic trilogy involving the search for ancient books whose secrets hold the key to humanity’s survival. In 2027, the Great Disruption shook the world. An unexplained solar storm struck the earth, shifting it four degrees south on its axis. Everything went dark. Humanity was on the verge of despair. Then a man named Camden Ford discovered a set of ancient books called the Chronicles of Satraya. Thirty years later, the world is a different place. Thanks to the teachings of the Chronicles, hope has been restored, cities rebuilt, technology advanced. The books also have a different owner: Logan Cutler, who inherited them when Camden mysteriously disappeared. But when Logan auctions off the books to pay his debts, they fall into the wrong hands. The Reges Hominum, a clandestine group that once ruled history from the shadows, is launching a worldwide conspiracy to regain control. Soon Logan realizes he’s made a terrible mistake. With the help of special agent Valerie Perrot and the wisdom of the Chronicles as his guide, he embarks on an epic quest to get the books back before it’s too late. Abounding with questions about humanity’s secret past and its unknown future, Journey into the Flame will not only take you to the start of an incredible new world, it will also take you deep into the greater mysteries of the self.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our Way of life and our very existence are under threat. Get educated and resist. In Aldous Huxleys Brave New World, published in 1932, we are provided with a view into a possible future that shows humanity under total control. Its a world in which babies are created in the laboratory to fit specific job functions and a small number of savages live in the restricted wild lands. Journey to a Brave New World uses examples of news reports and the real history not always the version taught in the classroom to show how we are being managed and manipulated to allow for a total tyrannical takeover and massive depopulation that could lead us to Huxleys vision. For over six years, author David Watts has undertaken deep research into the real history of the world and the ways in which it is being manipulated toward a future that only benefits an elite few. He provides many news reports, official documents and quotes from the so called elites to piece the puzzle together. He presents a cohesive exploration of what to expect in the future if we dont become involved in determining our own fate. Journey to a Brave New World seeks to help everyone to put the pieces together, deprogram, and understand both how we are being manipulated and how we can change direction now.

Book excerpt: At the end of the Ice Age, small groups of hunter-gatherers crossed from Siberia to Alaska and began the last chapter in the human settlement of the earth. Many left little or no trace. But one group, the Early Paleo-Indians, exploded onto the archaeological record about 11,500 radiocarbon years ago and expanded rapidly throughout North America, sending splinter groups into Central and perhaps South America as well. Journey to the Ice Age explores the challenges faced by the Early Paleo-Indians of northeastern North America. A revealing, autobiographical account, this is at once a captivating record of Storck's discoveries and an introduction to the practice, challenges, and spirit of archaeology.

Book excerpt: Che Guevara left Argentina at 22. At 21, Belén Fernández left the U.S. and didn’t look back. Alone, far off the beaten path in places like Syria and Tajikistan, she reflects on what it means to be an American in a largely American-made mess of a world. After growing up in Washington, D.C. and Texas, and then attending Columbia University in New York, Belén Fernández ended up in a state of self-imposed exile from the United States. From trekking—through Europe, the Middle East, Morocco, and Latin America—to packing avocados in southern Spain, to close encounters with a variety of unpredictable men, to witnessing the violent aftermath of the 2009 coup in Honduras, the international travel allowed her by an American passport has, ironically, given her a direct view of the devastating consequences of U.S. machinations worldwide. For some years Fernández survived thanks to the generosity of strangers who picked her up hitchhiking, fed her, and offered accommodations; then she discovered people would pay her for her powerful, unfiltered journalism, enabling—as of the present moment—continued survival. In just a few short years of publishing her observations on world politics and writing from places as varied as Lebanon, Italy, Uzbekistan, Syria, Mexico, Turkey, Honduras, and Iran, Belén Fernández has established herself as a one of the most trenchant observers of America’s interventions around the world, following in the footsteps of great foreign correspondents such as Martha Gellhorn and Susan Sontag.
