Mentions he has written Captain [Thomas] Vose several times for the depositions. Heard they may be in the probate office, but he has not received them yet. Notes if Captain John Hills, a surveyor looking for a route from the Connecticut River to Boston, asks for money he will supply it. Will soon deal with the bank shares. Congratulates Knox on the birth of a new daughter. Claims I had no idea of her having had ten children ... a few such families would indeed soon people a Colloney. Says that Henry Jackson hinted he might be in Boston soon.

If it is sent to the Superior Court it will be August.

Reports that the cause first mentioned is the Cooper claim. Says [Tench] Coxes's petition involves 100 acres of Land of Mr. Flucker's right of the 511 Acres at [Stroudwater] which was sold to him by the Collector of Taxes illegally. Reports that the deeds are not yet exchanged. Says Judge [James] Sullivan will is expected in town this week. Knox notes in the docket that he answered the letter on 2 August.
