Book Synopsis Jesus Son of God—Son of Man Jesus Is Our Pattern by : J. Harlow Holmes
Download or read book Jesus Son of God—Son of Man Jesus Is Our Pattern written by J. Harlow Holmes and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2019-05-10 with total page 453 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a Commentary like no other today. It reveals the true nature of Jesus as He walked on the earth and fulfilled the very necessary role that was required because of Adam’s fall. It fulfills the passage of I Corinthians 15:45—the last Adam. Jesus had to be like us in order to take our place. He was not God in flesh as preached today from most pulpits. He was the manifestation of God, His Father. Manifestation is the KEY word. He was God manifested in the flesh. When the Apostles saw Jesus in action they saw God the Father, John 14:9-11. We can see God in Jesus. Another important message is that Jesus was our pattern. We, the Church, should be doing the things that He did today. He Said to the disciples:“As the Father sent Me, so send I you.”John 20:21. Then He included us in His prayer in John 17:20-21. The Bible has been translated by those who believe in the doctrine of the Trinity. This came from Constantine and the first Nicene Creed in the 300s AD with the penalty of death involving over 200 Bishops if rhey did not sign it as he commanded. It seems that two were willing to die for the truth. All that was required to emphasize that Jesus was God just involved some prepositions and pronouns. However, the bulk of Jesus’ confession indicates otherwise. The Prologue is the foundation of proof that Jesus was a human being just like you and me. The Lord told me that most everyone is a product of someone else’s teaching today. However, when I was first filled with the Holy Spirit in my mid-twenties Jesus told me to let Him teach me. I have been faithful to that command for nearly 65 years. This commentary is the result of that command.
Book Synopsis Jesus the Pattern Son by : Bill Britton
Download or read book Jesus the Pattern Son written by Bill Britton and published by Egen Company LLC. This book was released on 2016-03 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Jesus The Pattern Son, Bill Britton presents the stunning premise that the life of Jesus in His humanity on earth sets a divine pattern for the endtime body of Christ, the Church. In this day when Christians are focused so much on signs and wonders, the author reminds us that Jesus Himself is God's greatest sign of all. This sign was given when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but will be fulfilled in its completeness with the endtimes manifestation of the mature sons of God, when the "many-membered" body of Christ, the Church, receives the anointing of the Spirit "without measure," and walks in the power and authority of the Lord Himself. In that day will be fulfilled in the saints what Paul called "the riches of the glory of this mystery...which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Col. 1:27).While many Christians futilely await a "Rapture" that will take them far away from the travails of the earth, God actually has a far better plan. While the "children of darkness" are swept away in judgment, the "children of light" will be "entering into the day of God's glory, the unveiling of His power and majesty in the human flesh of His body, the Church." A glorious destiny awaits those who will press forward to enter into the fullness of mature sons of God.

Book Synopsis How Jesus Became God by : Bart D. Ehrman
Download or read book How Jesus Became God written by Bart D. Ehrman and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2014-03-25 with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: New York Times bestselling author and Bible expert Bart Ehrman reveals how Jesus’s divinity became dogma in the first few centuries of the early church. The claim at the heart of the Christian faith is that Jesus of Nazareth was, and is, God. But this is not what the original disciples believed during Jesus’s lifetime—and it is not what Jesus claimed about himself. How Jesus Became God tells the story of an idea that shaped Christianity, and of the evolution of a belief that looked very different in the fourth century than it did in the first. A master explainer of Christian history, texts, and traditions, Ehrman reveals how an apocalyptic prophet from the backwaters of rural Galilee crucified for crimes against the state came to be thought of as equal with the one God Almighty, Creator of all things. But how did he move from being a Jewish prophet to being God? In a book that took eight years to research and write, Ehrman sketches Jesus’s transformation from a human prophet to the Son of God exalted to divine status at his resurrection. Only when some of Jesus’s followers had visions of him after his death—alive again—did anyone come to think that he, the prophet from Galilee, had become God. And what they meant by that was not at all what people mean today. Written for secular historians of religion and believers alike, How Jesus Became God will engage anyone interested in the historical developments that led to the affirmation at the heart of Christianity: Jesus was, and is, God.

Download or read book Sons of God Awake written by Bill Britton and published by Egen Company LLC. This book was released on 2016-09-15 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this visionary and ground-breaking book, Bill Britton describes the "unfolding revelation of Jesus Christ in His Sons," the corporate Body of Christ on earth, and provides a tantalizing glimpse of a new dimension of ministry not yet fully manifested where the Sons of God will break through "the veil" of the Holy of Holies into the full experience of Sonship. We know this is true because Jesus, the Pattern Son, has already entered into this realm as our Forerunner, and where Jesus goes, His Sons will follow. In six concise and compelling chapters, the author presents a stunning picture of a "ministry without limitation" that will be entered into by fully mature Sons of God. This soon-to-be-revealed ministry will operate in a new dimension beyond justification and Holy Spirit baptism, the first two crucial steps; a realm of life and restoration, for which all creation yearns. Jesus Himself, in His deity and humanity, brought a taste of heaven to earth and revealed His plan to share His glory with "a Company of Sons conformed to His image." Jesus is the 41st generation from King David in Matthew chapter one. This Company of Sons is the 42nd generation, with whom and through whom He will rule over all things.

In Ichthus Sinclair Ferguson and Derek Thomas answer these questions by taking us on a tour of nine key events in Jesus' life and ministry. Their aim is to help us both understand and share the confession of those early Christians who drew the fish sign.
