Once you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, the blood of Jesus cleanses your sin, then God forgives your sin. God cannot forgive your sins until it is cleansed by the blood of Jesus. “‘I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end,’ saith the Lord, ‘which is and which was and which is to come.’” The Almighty Jesus Christ is saying that he is Almighty God in the flesh, our redeemer. No one can forgive and redeem you from your sin but God Almighty. You cannot work off sin, it must be redeemed, and the redeemer must be sinless because a sinner cannot redeem another sinner.
