Book excerpt: "The United States Code is the official codification of the general and permanent laws of the United States of America. The Code was first published in 1926, and a new edition of the code has been published every six years since 1934. The 2012 edition of the Code incorporates laws enacted through the One Hundred Twelfth Congress, Second Session, the last of which was signed by the President on January 15, 2013. It does not include laws of the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress, First Session, enacted between January 2, 2013, the date it convened, and January 15, 2013. By statutory authority this edition may be cited "U.S.C. 2012 ed." As adopted in 1926, the Code established prima facie the general and permanent laws of the United States. The underlying statutes reprinted in the Code remained in effect and controlled over the Code in case of any discrepancy. In 1947, Congress began enacting individual titles of the Code into positive law. When a title is enacted into positive law, the underlying statutes are repealed and the title then becomes legal evidence of the law. Currently, 26 of the 51 titles in the Code have been so enacted. These are identified in the table of titles near the beginning of each volume. The Law Revision Counsel of the House of Representatives continues to prepare legislation pursuant to 2 U.S.C. 285b to enact the remainder of the Code, on a title-by-title basis, into positive law. The 2012 edition of the Code was prepared and published under the supervision of Ralph V. Seep, Law Revision Counsel. Grateful acknowledgment is made of the contributions by all who helped in this work, particularly the staffs of the Office of the Law Revision Counsel and the Government Printing Office"--Preface.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Twelve years ago, Richard Yancey answered a blind ad in the newspaper offering a salary higher than what he’d made over the three previous years combined. It turned out that the job was for the Internal Revenue Service -- the most hated and feared organization in the federal government. So Yancey became the man who got in his car, drove to your house, knocked on your door, and made you pay. Never mind that his car was littered with candy wrappers, his palms were sweaty, and he couldn’t remember where he stashed his own tax records. He was there on the authority of the United States government. With "a rich mix of humor, horror, and angst [and] better than most novels on the bestseller lists" (Boston Sunday Globe), Confessions of a Tax Collector contains an astonishing cast of too-strange-for-fiction characters. But the most intriguing character of all is Yancey himself who -- in detailing how the job changed him and how he managed to pull himself back from the brink of moral, ethical, and spiritual bankruptcy -- reveals what really lies beneath those dark suits and mirrored sunglasses. This P.S. edition features an extra 16 pages of insights into the book, including author interviews, recommended reading, and more.

The book’s appearance in 1989 sparked a public furor and major legislation attempting to redress the IRS’ many abuses of power, both political and bureaucratic. The book will be a relevant handbook as long as the agency remains a towering presence in American life.

Book excerpt: IRS HUMBUG--Reveals illegal force used by U. S. Government employees to perpetuate existing false beliefs about what is commonly known as income tax. A tax on income received in exchange for labor is a direct tax that requires apportionment to remain in harmony with the U. S. Constitution. Federal income tax is not such a tax. It is not a tax at all, but a kickback program accepted by anyone who chooses to become effectively connected with the U. S. Government as their employee. This book covers its origin, history, limited applicability, how it is currently being implemented upon persons who are not employees of the U. S. Government, & remedy. Undue influence used by U. S. government employees coerce persons into creating & discharging a personal debt upon a U. S. Individual Income Tax Return results in a condition of involuntary servitude, specifically peonage, prohibited by civil rights laws & the U. S. Constitution. The author learned these truths through study of laws, the U. S. Constitution, & the Internal Revenue Code; which are cited. Illegal incarceration, supposedly for willful failure to file income tax returns, completed his education. This experience & knowledge is shared along with ideas on exercising personal sovereignty over one's life, liberty & property.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Great IRS Hoax: Why We Don't Owe Income Tax is a an amazing documentary that exposes the deception that misguided or malicious "public servants" have foisted upon us all these years: "That we are liable for IRC Subtitle A income tax as American Nationals domiciled in the 50 states of the Union with earnings from within the 50 states of the Union that does not originate from the government and is not connected with the "trade or business" franchise."Through a detailed and very thorough analysis of both enacted law and IRS behavior unrefuted by any of the 100,000 people who have downloaded the book, including present and former (after they learn the truth!) employees of the Treasury and IRS, The Great IRS Hoax reveals why Subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code is private law/special law that one only becomes subject to by consensually engaging in an excise taxable activity called a "trade or business", which is a defined as a "public office" in the U.S. government. It proves using the government's own statutes and publications and court rulings that for everyone domiciled in states of the Union who has not availed themselves of this excise taxable franchise/privilege of federal office, Subtitle A of the I.R.C. creates no force of obligation upon them to pay an income tax to the federal government. The book also explains how Social Security is the de facto mechanism by which "taxpayers" are recruited, and that the program is illegally administered and misrepresented in order to illegally expand federal jurisdiction into the states using private law.
