Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the modern age of development, it has become essential for any algebraic structure to enjoy greater acceptance and research significance only when it has extensive applications to other fields. This new algebraic concept, Linear Bialgebra, is one that will find applications to several fields like bigraphs, algebraic coding/communication theory (bicodes, best biapproximations), Markov bichains, Markov bioprocess and Leonief Economic bimodels: these are also brought out in this book. Here, the linear bialgebraic structure is given sub-bistructures and super-structures called the smarandache neutrosophic linear bialgebra which will easily yield itself to the above applications.

However, there was no methodical development of interval algebraic structures to this date. This book provides a systematic analysis of interval algebraic structures, viz. interval linear algebra, using intervals of the form [0, a].
Book Synopsis Coxeter Bialgebras by : Marcelo Aguiar
Download or read book Coxeter Bialgebras written by Marcelo Aguiar and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2022-10-31 with total page 897 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The goal of this monograph is to develop Hopf theory in the setting of a real reflection arrangement. The central notion is that of a Coxeter bialgebra which generalizes the classical notion of a connected graded Hopf algebra. The authors also introduce the more structured notion of a Coxeter bimonoid and connect the two notions via a family of functors called Fock functors. These generalize similar functors connecting Hopf monoids in the category of Joyal species and connected graded Hopf algebras. This monograph opens a new chapter in Coxeter theory as well as in Hopf theory, connecting the two. It also relates fruitfully to many other areas of mathematics such as discrete geometry, semigroup theory, associative algebras, algebraic Lie theory, operads, and category theory. It is carefully written, with effective use of tables, diagrams, pictures, and summaries. It will be of interest to students and researchers alike.

Book Synopsis Tensor Categories by : Pavel Etingof
Download or read book Tensor Categories written by Pavel Etingof and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2016-08-05 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is there a vector space whose dimension is the golden ratio? Of course not—the golden ratio is not an integer! But this can happen for generalizations of vector spaces—objects of a tensor category. The theory of tensor categories is a relatively new field of mathematics that generalizes the theory of group representations. It has deep connections with many other fields, including representation theory, Hopf algebras, operator algebras, low-dimensional topology (in particular, knot theory), homotopy theory, quantum mechanics and field theory, quantum computation, theory of motives, etc. This book gives a systematic introduction to this theory and a review of its applications. While giving a detailed overview of general tensor categories, it focuses especially on the theory of finite tensor categories and fusion categories (in particular, braided and modular ones), and discusses the main results about them with proofs. In particular, it shows how the main properties of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras may be derived from the theory of tensor categories. Many important results are presented as a sequence of exercises, which makes the book valuable for students and suitable for graduate courses. Many applications, connections to other areas, additional results, and references are discussed at the end of each chapter.

Book Synopsis Introduction to the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation and Quantum Groups: An Algebraic Approach by : L.A. Lambe
Download or read book Introduction to the Quantum Yang-Baxter Equation and Quantum Groups: An Algebraic Approach written by L.A. Lambe and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-11-22 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chapter 1 The algebraic prerequisites for the book are covered here and in the appendix. This chapter should be used as reference material and should be consulted as needed. A systematic treatment of algebras, coalgebras, bialgebras, Hopf algebras, and represen tations of these objects to the extent needed for the book is given. The material here not specifically cited can be found for the most part in [Sweedler, 1969] in one form or another, with a few exceptions. A great deal of emphasis is placed on the coalgebra which is the dual of n x n matrices over a field. This is the most basic example of a coalgebra for our purposes and is at the heart of most algebraic constructions described in this book. We have found pointed bialgebras useful in connection with solving the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. For this reason we develop their theory in some detail. The class of examples described in Chapter 6 in connection with the quantum double consists of pointed Hopf algebras. We note the quantized enveloping algebras described Hopf algebras. Thus for many reasons pointed bialgebras are elsewhere are pointed of fundamental interest in the study of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation and objects quantum groups.
Book Synopsis Introduction to Bimatrices by : W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy
Download or read book Introduction to Bimatrices written by W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on 2005 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Generally any real-world problem is not always solvable, because in that not only a percentage of uncertainty is present, but also, a certain percentage of indeterminacy is present. The presence of uncertainty has been analyzed using fuzzy logic. In this book the amount of indeterminacy is being analyzed using neutrosophic logic. Most of these models use the concept of matrices. Matrices have certain limitation; when the models are time-dependent and any two experts opinions are being studied simultaneously, one cannot compare both of them at each stage. The new concept of bimatrices would certainly cater to these needs.A bimatrix AB = A1 U B2, where A1 and A2 are distinct matrices of arbitrary order. This book introduces the concept of bimatrices, and studies several notions like bieigen values, bieigen vectors, characteristic bipolynomials, bitransformations, bioperators and bidiagonalization.Further, we introduce and explore the concepts like fuzzy bimatrices, neutrosophic bimatrices and fuzzy neutrosophic bimatrices, which will find its application in fuzzy and neutrosophic logics.
Book Synopsis Set Linear Algebra and Set Fuzzy Linear Algebra by : W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy
Download or read book Set Linear Algebra and Set Fuzzy Linear Algebra written by W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on 2008 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Set linear algebras, introduced by the authors in this book, are the most generalized form of linear algebras. These structures make use of very few algebraic operations and are easily accessible to non-mathematicians as well. The dominance of computers in everyday life calls for a paradigm shift in the concepts of linear algebra. The authors believe that set linear algebra will cater to that need.
Book Synopsis White Noise on Bialgebras by : Michael Schürmann
Download or read book White Noise on Bialgebras written by Michael Schürmann and published by Springer. This book was released on 2006-11-15 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stochastic processes with independent increments on a group are generalized to the concept of "white noise" on a Hopf algebra or bialgebra. The main purpose of the book is the characterization of these processes as solutions of quantum stochastic differential equations in the sense of R.L. Hudsonand K.R. Parthasarathy. The notes are a contribution to quantum probability but they are also related to classical probability, quantum groups, and operator algebras. The Az ma martingales appear as examples of white noise on a Hopf algebra which is a deformation of the Heisenberg group. The book will be of interest to probabilists and quantum probabilists. Specialists in algebraic structures who are curious about the role of their concepts in probablility theory as well as quantum theory may find the book interesting. The reader should havesome knowledge of functional analysis, operator algebras, and probability theory.
Book Synopsis Fundamentals of Hopf Algebras by : Robert G. Underwood
Download or read book Fundamentals of Hopf Algebras written by Robert G. Underwood and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-06-10 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text aims to provide graduate students with a self-contained introduction to topics that are at the forefront of modern algebra, namely, coalgebras, bialgebras and Hopf algebras. The last chapter (Chapter 4) discusses several applications of Hopf algebras, some of which are further developed in the author’s 2011 publication, An Introduction to Hopf Algebras. The book may be used as the main text or as a supplementary text for a graduate algebra course. Prerequisites for this text include standard material on groups, rings, modules, algebraic extension fields, finite fields and linearly recursive sequences. The book consists of four chapters. Chapter 1 introduces algebras and coalgebras over a field K; Chapter 2 treats bialgebras; Chapter 3 discusses Hopf algebras and Chapter 4 consists of three applications of Hopf algebras. Each chapter begins with a short overview and ends with a collection of exercises which are designed to review and reinforce the material. Exercises range from straightforward applications of the theory to problems that are devised to challenge the reader. Questions for further study are provided after selected exercises. Most proofs are given in detail, though a few proofs are omitted since they are beyond the scope of this book.
Book Synopsis Hopf Algebras and Root Systems by : István Heckenberger
Download or read book Hopf Algebras and Root Systems written by István Heckenberger and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2020-06-19 with total page 606 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an introduction to Hopf algebras in braided monoidal categories with applications to Hopf algebras in the usual sense. The main goal of the book is to present from scratch and with complete proofs the theory of Nichols algebras (or quantum symmetric algebras) and the surprising relationship between Nichols algebras and generalized root systems. In general, Nichols algebras are not classified by Cartan graphs and their root systems. However, extending partial results in the literature, the authors were able to associate a Cartan graph to a large class of Nichols algebras. This allows them to determine the structure of right coideal subalgebras of Nichols systems which generalize Nichols algebras. As applications of these results, the book contains a classification of right coideal subalgebras of quantum groups and of the small quantum groups, and a proof of the existence of PBW-bases that does not involve case by case considerations. The authors also include short chapter summaries at the beginning of each chapter and historical notes at the end of each chapter. The theory of Cartan graphs, Weyl groupoids, and generalized root systems appears here for the first time in a book form. Hence, the book serves as an introduction to the modern classification theory of pointed Hopf algebras for advanced graduate students and researchers working in categorial aspects and classification theory of Hopf algebras and their generalization.
