Book Synopsis Internet à l'école, lancez-vous ! by : Katrin Acou-Bouaziz
Download or read book Internet à l'école, lancez-vous ! written by Katrin Acou-Bouaziz and published by Retz. This book was released on 2015-02-12 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Oral Cephalosporins by : Robert C. Moellering
Download or read book Oral Cephalosporins written by Robert C. Moellering and published by S Karger Ag. This book was released on 1995 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume provides an excellent survey of the chemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and clinical use of the oral cephalosporins in general and the newer agents in particular. The cephalosporins have long provided satisfactory treatment for many disorders without causing serious side effects; and over the past fifty years forms with different antimicrobial, pharmacologic and toxicologic properties have been developed. Despite the broad spectrum of their activity against a large variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, the third-generation oral cephalosporins including the prodrug esters do not work against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, methicillin-resistant staphylococci, enterococci or Bacteroides species. Many, however, are suitable for treating infections of the respiratory and urinary tracts and of the skin and its structure, as well as certain sexually-transmitted diseases. Authors consider other possible uses, against multi-resistant Enterobacteriaceae for instance, but also point out the limitations of the oral cephalosporins. For those working in the fields of infectious disease, bacteriology, chemotherapy, pharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, this book is a valuable source of authoritative information.

Book Synopsis To the Slaughterhouse by : Jean Giono
Download or read book To the Slaughterhouse written by Jean Giono and published by Peter Owen Modern Classics (20. This book was released on 2021-07 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Long regarded as one of France's finest writers of the twentieth century, Jean Giono is best known for his ecological bestseller The Man Who Planted Trees, but this neglected classic, published in 1931, is his masterpiece. Set during the First World War, conscription comes to a rural Provençal community, and its young men leave for the trenches on the Western Front. Based on his experiences at the battle of Verdun, at which he was one of only eleven survivors from his company, Giono produced one of the most powerful and affecting accounts of war ever written. This unflinchingly realistic yet at times intensely poetic novel grimly contrasts the destruction of men, land and animals at the front with the disintegration of daily life and accepted morality back home in a remote community with its own savagery, lusts and yearnings. Giono ends his masterwork with a message of hope, reflecting his faith in the ability of the earth to renew itself, which readers of The Man Who Planted Trees will find familiar.
