Download or read book Le modèle de croissance endogène avec microéconomie de l'innovation written by Jules Nyssen and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: This volume describes the contribution made by science parks and innovation centres to the promotion of innovation, local business development and job creation. The basic economic and social problems such parks can help to solve are described. An overview is given of experience lessons learned from science parks in the USA, the Far East, and Europe. Overall policy questions are tackled, i.e. science parks and innovation centres as instruments of regional policy; organization and management; finance for operation and creation of new enterprises; and the contribution of universities and research establishments. Attention is then focused on practical experience. Case studies describe the regional impact of science parks and innovation centres, as well as the development of young technology-based firms. Also discussed is the selection of entrepreneurs, training programmes and advisory services, and how to solve the marketing problems of technology-based enterprises. The book gives a valuable insight into a wide range of problems and will interest a wide readership, e.g.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fagerberg's (economics, U. of Oslo) research project investigating why some countries succeed much better than others in generating growth and competitiveness, was suppose to run from 1983 to 1986, but refused to go away. Some of the 16 reproduced essays were published in 1987, some were part of his 1988 Ph.D. dissertation for the University of Sussex, and some have appeared as late as 2000. Together they represent a more complete analysis of the relationship between technology, growth, and competitiveness than he has attempted before. Each can be read separately. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: G.HAINNAUX Departement Milieu et Activites Agricoles, Centre ORSTOM, 911 Avenue d' Agropolis, B.P. 5045, 34032 Montpellier Cedex , France. Solid state fermentation, popularly abbreviated as SSF, is currently investigated by many groups throughout the world. The study of this technique was largely neglected in the past in European and Western countries and there is now a high demand for SSF, meaning in food, environment, agricultural, phannaceutical and many other biotechnological applications. It gives me satisfaction to note that the importance of this technique was realised at my department way back in 1975 since then, our team has put concentrated efforts on developing this technique. xvii Foreword Advances in Solid State Fermentation Foreword M. PUYGRENIER Agropolis Valorisation, Avenue d' Agropolis, 34394 Montpellier Cedex 5, France. On the name of the Scientific Community, I would like to express the wish that this International Symposium on SSF should be successful. Solid State Fermentation is part of biotechnology research. It consists on seeding solid culture medium with bacteria or fungi (filamentous or higher) and on producing, in this medium (solid components and exudates) metabolites and high value products. In fact, this process is very old. In older industries such the food and agricultural, this technique has been extensively used. An example of this is the production of pork sausages and Roquefort cheese. Pharmaceutical industry could make extensive use of SSF in the production of secondary metabolites of many kinds and development in this direction is soon expected.
