Besonders in Zeiten gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen wie der Corona-Pandemie oder globaler Krisen wird die Bedeutung des ehrenamtlichen Engagements deutlich sichtbar. Trotz dieser weitreichenden Bedeutung besteht jedoch noch immer ein Forschungsbedarf, insbesondere im Hinblick auf das inklusive Ehrenamt und die Einbindung von Menschen mit Behinderung in ehrenamtliche Tätigkeiten. Während zahlreiche Studien das ehrenamtliche Engagement insgesamt beleuchten, bleiben die Perspektiven und Erfahrungen von Menschen mit Behinderung häufig unerforscht. Diese Arbeit setzt sich zum Ziel, diese Lücke zu schließen und einen Beitrag zur Erforschung des inklusiven Ehrenamts zu leisten. Dabei liegt der Fokus darauf, die Sichtweisen und Erfahrungen von Menschen mit Behinderung als ehrenamtlich Engagierte selbst einzubeziehen. Durch eine umfassende Analyse sollen die Rahmenbedingungen, Chancen und Herausforderungen des inklusiven Ehrenamts beleuchtet werden. Im weiteren Verlauf dieser Arbeit wird zunächst das Konzept des ehrenamtlichen Engagements genauer beleuchtet. Dabei werden die grundlegenden Definitionen sowie aktuelle Zahlen und Fakten zu diesem Thema dargestellt, um auf Basis dessen die inklusiven Strukturen des ehrenamtlichen Engagements zu erforschen. Anschließend wird der Fokus auf das inklusive Ehrenamt gelegt, wobei die rechtlichen und politischen Rahmenbedingungen sowie der aktuelle Forschungsstand näher betrachtet werden. Hierbei werden insbesondere die Perspektiven und Erfahrungen von Menschen mit Behinderung als ehrenamtlich Engagierte in den Blick genommen. Die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit sollen dazu beitragen, die Bedeutung des inklusiven Ehrenamts zu unterstreichen und Impulse für eine weiterführende Forschung zu setzen. Dabei liegt ein besonderes Augenmerk darauf, die Stimmen und Erfahrungen von Menschen mit Behinderung im Kontext des ehrenamtlichen Engagements zu würdigen und ihnen eine Plattform zur Artikulation ihrer Perspektiven zu bieten.
