Book excerpt: Do you love aviation, taking trips, watching flight attendants, wondering what it is like to be one, or know what really goes on behind the scenes in flight? Well, now you can! Flip the Bird reveals all, in an entertaining expose, written in a stand-up & satirical comedy style. Actor, and former flight attendant Derra St. Denis is desperately trying to fit in amongst the booze and drug-swagging flight attendants at a crazy airline (now bankrupt). That was no surprise to Derra, as she resigned 3 days before the announcement of its worldwide closure. Sex was commonplace as a handshake, and this airline was like an insidious, mean-ass small town! The harassment never ceased, and if you have ever felt singled out in a work environment or anywhere for that matter, this is the book for you!!! Hilarious in hindsight, and true to life, you'll be in stitches reading this historical account of life as a flight attendant at Babaloo Airlines...a TV series just waiting to be produced.

Book excerpt: The Downward Spiral: Beginnings and Endings tells a story about numerous characters and their lives and how they cope with the ups and downs of the world they live in. One scene in particular is pivotal and brings them together on a snowy day in Schaumburg Illinois. Life will change forever for some in this tale. Music plays a large part along with the day to day life that people live and their jobs they report to and how they communicate with others and how they deal with loss. It focuses on a mother and a husband and then a son. Then it becomes just a mother and son. They go through life with problems like everyone and you see how they deal with them and how they get through the difficult times. The arguments they have and the love that they find and lose. You see how a boy grows up into a teenager and see his likes and dislikes and what he seems to want in life. A mother who deals with things not always going her way and just adjusting to it and hoping things turn out for the best. We learn about other characters who have smaller roles in this tale but they are as well very important and you fell for them and what they have in relationships and their careers and their families. They are out doing the most normal tasks and talking with friends and communicating with their pets. They are dealing with the snow and the winter in the Midwest. A world can be cruel and it can tear things apart if you're not careful. They have no idea what is to come but they are real people with problems and issues and some are in love and some are in the process of fixing their mistakes and they will be in the same place on a cool snowy February Saturday. Beginnings and Endings, this is true in many senses as this novel goes on. Lives and relationships and love and events they all are part of this cycle. Some of these things end and some of these begin. This world is filled with sadness and darkness and then at the same time it is filled with some happiness and the characters are set to these feelings and that day. A boy and his mother wait outside and wonder what just happened and you have no real answer for him. What do you say? That wasn't what you expected to see and you didn't expect to hear screams. Her husband, his father picks them up and they drive off with a new sense of life and a feeling of sadness has taken over them.

Book excerpt: Get three sexy romance stories from USA Today and New York Times bestselling authors Jane Porter, Megan Crane and Carol Marinelli! The Tycoon’s Forced Bride by Jane Porter Malcolm McKenzie will never forget that night in New York when he put Ava Galvan in a taxi following a heated argument, and the Argentine beauty was involved in an horrific accident—one that ended her career as an acclaimed soloist with the Manhattan Ballet, and impaired her memory and ability to live an independent life. The Scottish tycoon and philanthropist lives with his guilt, and another consequence: Ava was pregnant with his child the night of the accident. Ever since that night, Malcom has raised Jack as a single father. But Ava is stronger now, and Jack wants his mommy to come home. Malcolm has never stopped wanting her and he’s determined to do whatever it takes to claim Ava—with or without her consent. Project Virgin by Megan Crane Maybe the worst idea she’s ever had is actually the best thing she could ever do… Newbie lawyer Scottie Grey spent entirely too many years listening to her ex-fiancé’s lies. Now that she’s finally kicked that cheater out of her life, she wants to waste no time getting rid of the albatross around her neck: her virginity. Damon Patrick is the worst possible candidate for the project. He’s too good-looking, too experienced. He’s too well known around San Francisco—mostly for his many sexual exploits. He’s also kinda, sorta Scottie’s boss. Damon is the worst man for the job imaginable… which might just make him the only one Scottie can imagine giving her virginity to after all. Bound to the Sheikh by Carol Marinelli Sheikh Ashim Al Raquar, Crown Prince of Alzaquan, knows he must return to his country and leave his playboy reputation far behind him. It will be a wild journey home, though—he intends to party on his yacht right to the edge of the desert. And then he meets Emily, a corporate flight attendant who’s in the south of France hoping to find herself after years of taking care of her husband. A sensual, charismatic lover with a reputed dark edge to his bedroom skills is the very last thing Emily needs. Or is it the first?

Working as an English specialist at Air-Pro Stewardess Training Institute by day, and losing herself in a sex- and drug-addled oblivion by night, Margaret represses memories of her painful childhood and her older brother Frank's descent into madness. But Margaret's deliberate nihilism is thrown off balance as she becomes increasingly haunted by images of a Western girl missing in Tokyo. And when she becomes enamored of Kazu, a mysterious gangster, their affair sparks a chain of events that could spell tragedy for Margaret, in a city where it's all too easy to disappear.

He doesn't take anything from anyone. And other than a few women he dated just for show, he's never had anything with anyone. Abner can't stop thinking about his gorgeous, confident young employee, Ryan. The one who trash-talked him at the bar. The one who isn't afraid of anything. Ryan especially isn't afraid of a business trip with his boss: presidential suite, honeymoon hot tub, and a dreamy-eyed chauffeur. It's all business. Until it turns to pleasure. Abner never needed anyone. Now he can't stop thinking about two anyones. Isn't Abner straight? Isn't Ryan straight? Isn't Mauricio just their driver? Aren't they on a business trip? Maybe it's the California air. Maybe it's a fleeting emotion. Or maybe it's The Law of Three. The Law of Three is a feel-good first-time-gay MMM romance with salt-and-pepper scruff, Los Angeles taco trucks, back-seat acrobatics, and a triple serving of happy ever after.
