Since the dawn of time, people sought a higher power than mere humanity. The ancients felt the tug of spirit, realizing that life itself involved more than what meets the eye. They seized upon the concept of a spiritual creative force that is the foundation of all that is physical. Spirit became the platform from which everything else derived. You have a body, but you are a spirit. We come from the spirit realm by the process of birth but at death, we return to it. With the modern advances in medicine, some strange things happened. People who were pronounced as dead by doctors came back to life and talked of things they had seen in another life. At first, these phenomena were considered the ravings of the deluded. However, some doctors themselves had the experience, or they ministered to patients who had the experience. A new science was formed called the near-death experience. Sammy Hughes suffered six heart attacks where there were no heartbeats, no blood pressure, and no brain activity. In one of these episodes, Sammy was gone for five minutes before being revived by the doctors. In two other episodes, Sammy went into another realm and saw his mother and father. However, the medical expertise of the doctors brought him back into his body. This is Sammy's story.

Book excerpt: "Some true stories move us. Pamela's story changes us." - Dale S.Recinella, Chaplain for Florida's Death Row and author of Now I Walk on Death Row Pamela Perillo was set to die on March 24, 1996. Convicted of capital murder in 1980, Pamela sat on Texas's Death Row awaiting lethal injection. But less than two days before her scheduled execution, she was given a second chance, and in 2000, she was resentenced: from death to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Her first chance at new life had come shortly after her arrest, when Pamela embraced the Christian faith and began bringing her fellow inmates to redemption in Christ. That's why although Pamela's story is one of imprisonment--first by abuse and addiction and ultimately behind the locked doors of the criminal justice system--it's also a story of hope--of finding a new path in faith, of taking courage from the promise of salvation, and now, of praying for parole in 2019 after nearly forty years of incarceration. Salvation on Death Row combines true-crime reporting with a powerful spiritual memoir, reminding us that every life is a journey, every person is capable of change, and every individual can make a positive impact on the world. "This is a great story with a wonderful conclusion: The only good answer is the Lord!"- -Bill Glass, founder of Bill Glass Ministries The author's proceeds from Salvation on Death Row will benefit Patriot PAWS service dogs.

He is also the youngest Priest to be ordained in the sleepy little town of Morris, nestled just below Vail, Colorado. Born in a remote village in Spain, Father Morales’ life was perfectly scripted as he obtained his dreams. Now, in America, he is tasked with revitalizing an aging congregation. The job seems easy until he meets Ian Stephens. Ian is troubled and trapped between his own dreams and the responsibility he feels for the care of his aging homophobic mother. Escorting his mother to Sunday Mass one morning, Ian and Father Morales’s lives intersect, changing both forever. Ian believes he saw something in the Father’s eyes that morning, a spark, an intuition, or was he just fantasizing about the seductively alluring priest? Ian is willing to risk it all to find the answer, in turn feeding his own sexual desires and causing boundaries to be questioned by everyone. After an unforeseen yet unforgettable kiss between the two, will an Ancient House of Cards be toppled when they are made to confront the moral dilemma that neither of them can escape?

Book Synopsis God Writes My Story by : MARY MARGARET BROWN
Download or read book God Writes My Story written by MARY MARGARET BROWN and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-07-08 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mary Margaret met the Holy Spirit when she was eight years old on the backside of a mountain in Montgomery County. Two weeks later, she met Jesus close to the neighbor's pond. Later, as she walked near the barn, He told her, "She would suffer many things for her faith in him." She describes both of them in the book. When she was on her Damascus Road experience, God appeared to her as the Ancient of Days as related in Isaiah 6. Gabriel the messenger appeared to her and confirmed the message she had received from the Ancient of Days. Michael the archangel appears to her very often to fight the many battles she has faced. The Holy Spirit is very intimate in taking her places as a young child and bringing her with him. The Holy Spirit covers her with his wings quite often as she sees this in an open vision and under his wings will she trust (Ps. 91:4). She wonders why she has been given so many visitations of heavenly beings; she is devoted to the Lord, and all he wants to take place in our world. She puts her faith in a mighty God.
