Then he comes up with the sweetest punishment to dole out to his stubborn lovers. Aiden Eastwood simply wants his boyfriends to feel loved. Since he has the money, he can spoil them both to his heart's content. He thinks he has successfully avoided the death and betrayal of his past. What he doesn't realise is that his past is about to pay him a visit...

If you have ever wished you could sit down with your grandmother or great-grandmother and just have a wonderful visit, this book is the next best thing. It is full of Mamas advice on everything from table manners to dating, marriage, and life in general. It presents truths that could change your life. With common sense in short supply and disrespect for authority all too common, books like Mama Used to Always Say are a much-needed resource to replenish our souls. Just like a warm fire and a comfortable chair can make the world outside go away, this book can do the same with its parenting skills and techniques. It will take you to a time where parental authority was respected and people held to values that were as certain to them as true north on the compass.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Who was Saint Valentine, the saint who gave his name to the festival of lovers in Wales? Where do red hearts and roses fit in? Or do they? This volume addresses these questions, but focuses more specifically on the previously unpublished Welsh poetry written over the centuries on the feast day of Saint Valentine in mid-February, the one saint’s day in the Christian calendar of saints that does not depend on the Church for a celebration of the feast day – far from resembling anything else on offer in any other part of Britain, these Welsh songs are lyrical, expressive, and often in cynghanedd (the concept of sound-arrangement within a line). This volume analyses the first extant Welsh Saint Valentine’s Day poems, and advances a new understanding of societal propriety in settings where citizens paid great attention to tradition. In so doing, it offers new insights into the tradition of observing Saint Valentine’s Day in Wales and, indeed, argues that although it is the fifth-century Dwynwen who is today considered to be the patron saint of Welsh lovers, Saint Valentine also handed out aid and sympathy to lovers in Wales over many centuries. Book excerpt: Seventeen-year-old Stella Hamilton is the star blazing at the heart of Temperley High. Leader of the maliciously exclusive elite, she is envied and lusted after in equal measure. And in the Hamilton tradition, she is in the final stage of a six-year campaign to achieve her destiny: love with her equally popular male equivalent, and a triumphant election to Head Girl. Caitlin Clarke has lived a quietly conformist life in New York City – until, with the collapse of her parents' marriage, she's sent across the Atlantic for a strict English boarding school education. As soon as she arrives at Temperley, she learns that the only important rules are the unwritten ones. The upper echelons of her new society are marked not by neat dresses and Kate Middleton hair, but by skinny jeans, cigarettes and scars. It's a world of the beautiful and the dangerous, and acceptance means staying on the right side of the most beautiful and dangerous of them all. As Caitlin's popularity grows, she discovers that not everyone is happy under Stella's rule – that it might finally be time for a new order among the Stars and the civilians. Fighting the system, however, means Caitlin must tread the same dark path as Stella, where absolute power and absolute destruction are only a breath away . . .
