Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Original and Still the Greatest Book of Hypnotic Seduction Poetry. These seduction poems give you the ability to hypnotize women and give them post-hypnotic suggestions to adore and want you - simply by reading them some mildly erotic poems. The NLP for PUA Foreword explains the hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) language patterns used to capture and lead a woman's imagination (and body) into bed. Here are some of the many positive comments I have received from men and women:"Women accept them because of their unobtrusive and romantic nature, without realizing the deep hidden commands that are taking place ..." (Richard G. Butler PhD DD)"Thanks phil they really do work astonishing well. esp when the 7 hypsosis secrets are applied" (Anon) "OMG!!!! This is amazing! Even this sample worked like magic!" (Bob) "wow... These rocked my life! Thanks!" (Anon) "My wife loves the poems and when I put her into a trance and read them to her I get Great results." (Bill) "I read your poem to one woman who I haven't touched in years....She is literally begging me now since getting back in touch with me (bumped into each other at work and was still horny for me anyway,) but now even more so, she is practically dripping thru the phone as I read poems to her....(she thinks I write them). She said she let her female friend listen and her friend said it made her panties wet (to stop it!!)." (Anon) "I'll be your spokes person!! Or that guy on the freeway with a sign saying "Phil is the MAN!" " Perrin "The only comment I have for you Phil is....when is the next book going to be available?....my girl told me to give you her opinion...so here it is... Gotta tell ya though, I read Sublimity to several females to see if it phased them (scientific study of course) and WOW!!! the response was very positive... (Anon) "I am a woman, and I used them with a man. I am very pleased with the results. I read several of them to him as I lay with my head in his lap.. reading softly and slowly, and gazing into his eyes when ever I could without losing my place. Watching his face go from 'but I wanted to watch TV', to interest and then tenderness was awesome! Thanks Phil for you poems, you newsletters, and you book!" (Jen)

Moving away from the picture book format offers Calef the opportunity to tackle a variety of themes and poetry styles as well as reach a slightly older audience. Hypnotize a Tiger is chock-full of Calef's zany black-and-white artwork and features his wonderfully inventive characters and worlds-from the "completely nonviolent and silent" Lou Gnome to Percival, the impetuous (and none-too-sensible) lad who believes he is invincible, to Hugh Jarm (who has a huge arm, natch!). It's a whimsical world: creative, fun, and inspiring!

She describes with disarming lucidity her experience with thirteen years of mental health crises, culminating in her death from suicide in 1970. Zðrn's familiarity with Surrealist conceptions of the psyche, her extraordinary self-possession during horrific experiences, and her compulsion to construct anagrams to make sense of language have let her to be recognised as a great artist, 25 years after the initial publication of this account by Atlas Press.

Book excerpt: Animal Visions considers how literature responds to the harms of anthropocentricism, working with Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights (1847) and various adaptations of this canonistic novel to show how posthumanist dream writing unsettles the privileging of the human species over other species. Two feminist and post-Freudian responses, Kathy Acker’s poem “Obsession” (1992) and Anne Carson’s “The Glass Essay” (1997) most strongly extend Brontë’s dream writing in this direction. Building on the trope of a ludic Cathy ghost who refuses the containment of logic and reason, these and other adaptations offer the gift of a radical peri-hysteria. This emotional excess is most clearly seen in Kate Bush’s music video “Wuthering Heights” (1978) and Peter Kosminsky’s film Wuthering Heights (1992). Such disturbances make space for a moor love that is particularly evident in Jane Urquhart’s novel Changing Heaven (1989) and, to a lesser extent Sylvia Plath’s poem, “Wuthering Heights” (1961). Brontë’s Wuthering Heights and its most productive afterings make space for co-affective relations between humans and other animal beings. Andrea Arnold’s film Wuthering Heights (2011) and Luis Buñuel’s Abismos de Pasión (1954) also highlight the rupturing split gaze of non-acting animals in their films. In all of these works depictions of intra-active and entangled responses between animals show the potential for dynamic and generative multispecies relations, where the human is one animal amongst the kin of the world.

Book excerpt: Elizabeth Bowen and the Dissolution of the Novel argues that the Anglo- Irish writer Elizabeth Bowen (1899-1973) is one of the most important, though undervalued, practitioner of the twentieth-century novel in English. This is an innovative study with significant implications for contemporary critical and theoretical writing. The authors contend that Bowen's work calls for a radically new conception of criticism and theory - and of the novel itself.

Book excerpt: "Tom Cohen's radical exploration of Hitchcock's cinema departs from conventional approaches-psychoanalytic, feminist, political-to emphasize the dense web of signatures and markings inscribed on and around his films. Aligning Hitchcock's agenda with the philosophical and aesthetic writings of Nietzsche, Derrida, and Benjamin, Cohen's project dramatically recasts the history and meaning of cinema itself. This first volume of Hitchcock's Cryptonymies provides a singularly close reading of films such as The Lady Vanishes, Spellbound, and North by Northwest, exposing the often imperceptible visual and aural puns, graphic elements, and cryptograms that traverse his entire body of work. Within Hitchcock's cinema, Cohen argues, these "secret agents" have more than just decorative or symbolic significance; they also reflect, critique, and disrupt traditional cinematic practice, undermining ways of seeing inherited from the Enlightenment and prefiguring postmodern culture. From the recurrence of the eye motif and the frequency of names beginning with "Mar" to the role of memory and the director's trademark cameos, Cohen offers an unprecedented guide to the entirety of Hitchcock's labyrinthine signature system. At the same time, he liberates Hitchcock's works from film history (modernist, auteurist), revealing them as unsettled events in the archaeology of contemporary global image culture. Tom Cohen is professor of American literary, critical, and cinematic studies at the University at Albany. He is the author of Anti-Mimesis: From Plato to Hitchcock and Ideology and Inscription: "Cultural Studies" after Benjamin, and coeditor of Material Events (Minnesota, 2000)." -- Publisher.

This book shows how, in more ways than one, Victorians were hearing things. The representations close listeners left of their soundscapes offered new meanings for silence, music, noise, voice, and echo that constitute an important part of the Victorian legacy to us today. In chronicling the shift from Romantic to modern configurations of sound and voice, Picker draws upon literary and scientific works to recapture the sense of aural discovery figures such as Babbage, Helmholtz, Freud, Bell, and Edison shared with the likes of Dickens, George Eliot, Tennyson, Stoker, and Conrad.

Book excerpt: Reflections on the figure of veering form the basis for a new theory of literature. Exploring images of swerving, loss of control, digressing and deviating, Veering provides new critical perspectives on all major literary genres: the novel, poetry, drama, the short story and the essay, as well as 'creative writing'. Royle works with insights from Lewis Carroll, Freud, Adorno, Raymond Williams, Edward Said, Deleuze, Cixous and Derrida. With wit and irony he investigates 'veering' in the writings of Jonson, Milton, Dryden, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Melville, Hardy, Proust, Lawrence, Bowen, J.H. Prynne and many others. Contrary to a widespread sense that literature has become increasingly irrelevant to our culture and everyday life, Royle brilliantly traces a strange but compelling 'literary turn'.

Book excerpt: The Shakespeare Authorship question - the question of who wrote Shakespeare's plays and who the man we know as Shakespeare was - is a subject which fascinates millions of people the world over and can be seen as a major cultural phenomenon. However, much discussion of the question exists on the very margins of academia, deemed by most Shakespearean academics as unimportant or, indeed, of interest only to conspiracy theorists. Yet, many academics find the Authorship question interesting and worthy of analysis in theoretical and philosophical terms. This collection brings together leading literary and cultural critics to explore the Authorship question as a social, cultural and even theological phenomenon and consider it in all its rich diversity and significance.
