I was an A/R supervisor for an oil company for 21 long years until the day they outsourced my job, and I suddenly found myself unemployed. I was devastated, heartbroken and felt betrayed all at the same time. I had $18,632 in my company retirement account, and they paid me two weeks of salary as a severance payment. After recovering from the shock, I started to apply for any and all jobs I could find online, but sadly didn't even land one interview. Around this time I read a success story of a lady who owns three thrift store business in Kentucky, I became inspired by her success and found a way to contact her. We spoke for a while, and she seemed genuinely nice and helpful as I told her my situation. She explained to me that this is one business which doesn't require much skill sets but only some serious dedication and passion to be successful. She said anyone could do it. She gave me some pointers and told me to work on them and to call her if I needed any help. A week after we first spoke, she called me up and offered to start a partnership venture with me, I was delighted, little shocked and very happy to have her as my partner. So our journey started. Fast forward two years, we are about to open our 3rd store next month, and I have never been this happy in my life. I finally feel that I was born to do this, and not what I did for my job for 21 sad years. Just so you guys know, I am not a writer, but I wanted to share this knowledge I have acquired for last two years with everyone that is looking for that opportunity, that break and that idea of a retail business that can be managed easily with true passion and dedication. As you read this book, you will learn how I was able to follow her advice and started our very first store at under $10,000. Remember, no risk no gain; we only live once, so if you believe in your own ability, if you think you have the passion and the dedication, then take the first step, and get started, be successful and live your life the way you want. Good luck!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I bet you don't even know the goldmine that's in your closet. My grandmother had the best fashion sense for her era. She was always seen dressed to the nines, pearls in tow, and heels galore. She would never leave the house without her trusty shoulder-pinned sweater. She kept every part of her appearance in check as she visited the salon with a weekly, standing appointment. Lipstick was a must. I inherited her fashionista trait. My Gran, as I called her, was a fashionista to the max. When she passed away, I found myself inheriting her vast walk-in closet collection of savvy vintage clothing. I wasn't quite sure what to do with all of it. I kept the pieces that meant the most to me and began to sell the rest. To my surprise, the demand for vintage clothing in great condition, or renewed, upcycled pieces, is immense, widespread, and appeals to men and women of all ages. My business was born - and it thrived! In my book, I will show you exactly how to go about starting and running your own pre-loved clothing business. You gain not only the monetary benefits of selling a high-demand product, but you will also be saving the world's landfills from unnecessary waste. In 2012 alone, an estimated 14.3 million tons of textiles were discarded to the landfill as reported by the Environmental Protection Agency-an alarming number for something seemingly harmless as discarding old clothes. Why toss clothing that has good life still left in it? There are so many ways you can succeed with your secondhand clothing shop, but the best thing you can do (and the most valuable experience you can get) is to go out and actually do it! Experience is always the best teacher. Until you get out and start selling, you will never be able to grasp everything fully that running a used clothing shop entails. Of course, the most important thing you can do is to be prepared for it, just so you know you're setting yourself up for success. You will have the tools you need in this book to start making good money by selling old clothes. You will learn: About crafting a plan for your business Finding who your customer will be Where to place your brick-and-mortar store, should you go that route Creating a solid marketing plan Budgeting and costs How to conduct market research Building your inventory and where to source products Upcycled hacks to increase the life of your products Advice for online marketplaces such as ThredUP, Poshmark, eBay, Depop, Facebook Marketplace, Tradesy, Vinted, Instagram, Craigslist, Mercari, LePrix, The Real Real, Grailed, VarageSale, Etsy, Shopify, and Amazon FBA How to set up a physical, brick and mortar store Branding and logo design Inventory management techniques Marketing strategies - direct and online How to set your prices Finally, how I grew my business - with advice about running a physical and online sales hybrid You will gain a much deeper understanding of how to start, run, and grow your own secondhand clothing business. Click "Add to Cart" now! You won't regret it! I wish I had this book when I first started my business. I also absolutely LOVE the variety of marketplaces available since I started my business. These choices can be difficult to navigate, and my book will guide you. For a limited time, when you purchase the paperback book on Amazon, you can download the Kindle version for FREE as my gift to you for your continued success.

Book excerpt: *SHORTLISTED for the 2021 Gourmand World Cookbook Award* *SHORTLISTED for the 2022 Taste Canada Award for Single-Subject Cookbooks* A sustainable lifestyle starts in the kitchen with these use-what-you-have, spend-less-money recipes and tips, from the friendly voice behind @ZeroWasteChef. In her decade of living with as little plastic, food waste, and stuff as possible, Anne-Marie Bonneau, who blogs under the moniker Zero-Waste Chef, has preached that "zero-waste" is above all an intention, not a hard-and-fast rule. Because, sure, one person eliminating all their waste is great, but thousands of people doing 20 percent better will have a much bigger impact. And you likely already have all the tools you need to begin. In her debut book, Bonneau gives readers the facts to motivate them to do better, the simple (and usually free) fixes to ease them into wasting less, and finally, the recipes and strategies to turn them into self-reliant, money-saving cooks and makers. Rescue a hunk of bread from being sent to the landfill by making Mexican Hot Chocolate Bread Pudding, or revive some sad greens to make a pesto. Save 10 dollars (and the plastic tub) at the supermarket with Yes Whey, You Can Make Ricotta Cheese, then use the cheese in a galette and the leftover whey to make sourdough tortillas. With 75 vegan and vegetarian recipes for cooking with scraps, creating fermented staples, and using up all your groceries before they go bad--including end-of-recipe notes on what to do with your ingredients next--Bonneau lays out an attainable vision for a zero-waste kitchen.
